There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. What's a good replacement Battery for 2014 RTL?

Has anyone had better luck with some batteries than others, for their RT? I had to buy one at Napa in September of 2020, most all the time keep it on a trickle charger, but had parked in driveway today, and went out to put in garage tonight, and turned the key on, pushed button to start, screen was white, then everything went black. Put two different trickle chargers on , and they both showed error or dead battery. Now the problem is looking on Napa's site about warranties, it states if it is The Legend series battery, the warranty is good for 18 months, means I am out of warranty by 4 months, and may have to pay for a new one. I believe that last battery was the original, because I don't remember ever changing a battery till 2020.

Problem may be using a trickle charger. It will kill our small bike batteries by continually charging. Best to switch to a suitable motorcycle battery maintainer. I have always had good luck with Yuasa batteries. Good luck..... Jim

For my money, I’d stick with Yuasa. Every bike I’ve ever owned had a Yuasa battery. All, that is except my first bike, the Royal Enfield....it didn’t have a battery.

Just remember it's not only the dimensions & the volts/type of battery that you need to match when you're replacing your Spyder battery; you also need to match &/or better the Cold Cranking Amps & the Amp/hour rating!

Gonna be lil difficult finding part/batteries thanks to supply problems :barf: YTX24XL. 350CCA is what had in 13STL. There are some comparable replacements, YUAUSA has definitely performed better.

When the OEM YUASA in our '14 RTL died a couple of years ago, I found the exact replacement by the numbers on the battery at Amazon Prime. Had it in hand in less than a week at a better price than I found online or local shops.

I also don't use a trickle charger unless I know the Spyder or any of my bikes will sit for more than a couple of months. The charging system in your machine is the best way to maintain a battery.

Yuasa YUAM7250H YTX24HL is the factory fill battery. The new battery should have a note with it saying when it was filled and one should charge it for 24 hrs. before installing and use a Battery Tender Jr, not a trickle charger as canamjhb said.

All Yuasa batteries are back ordered. I have my bike in driveway, and can't even get in garage because emergency brake lock. Can the bike be jumped like a car, just to get it in garage? I'm really anal about keeping an eye on my bike. Also, Battery Tender Jr. is what I use.

I use a Duracel from Batteries Plus(everywhere) for the 2 yr FULL warranty(fails a load test) and their usual 10-20% discounts (10%) for just ordering online. I also use a tender/maintainer when not in use. With discounts it was 110-115. Its working great since may 21. Duracell Ultra 18L-BS 12V 330CCA AGM Gray Case Battery - USA

If you use your CAR battery .... leave the engine off .... connect car to Spyder Battery ..... your Spyder should start, if not then just release the Brake ..... good luck .... Mike
