• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Where are all the Hitches....

So I found the perfect 'new' used 622 trailer (thanks ladies:bowdown::bowdown:). Called dealer yesterday and he said he had a hitch package in stock. Made appointment for Friday to install. He called me today to let me know that the last hitch they had was sold a couple of weeks ago and not taken out of inventory:gaah::gaah::gaah: (Bob, do you know anything about this :(:sour::(????). Dealer said hitches are on back order until mid-May :cus: :cus:. I live in St Louis area and happen to be in Cincinnati. I've called every dealer between Cincy and St Louis. No one has any. Called St Louis dealers and Pitbull and the same answer, all on backorder. Guess I won't be pulling trailer to Spyderfest...:banghead::banghead:

I'm hoping my seller(s) are still willing to deliver the trailer to my house this weekend...:helpsmilie::helpsmilie::helpsmilie:

Which Dealer?

I know there is one in Decatur, IL and Nashville, IL. I assume you called Ted's in Alton also.

The hitches might be here...

Call Bert's Megamall and/or Honda East (both Spyderlovers sponsors) and ask for on-line/ebay sales. Call their parts department and be sure to tell them you're a Spyderlover. They both have good prices. When they give you a price, be sure to ask, "Is that the best you can do?" Last summer Honda East delivered, to my door, a BRP hitch (part # 219400432) for $437.00 for my RT Limited.

Let us know how you make out.

B:dontknow:eats me who they could have sold their last hitch to...:opps: :wrong:

That's OK, it will all come together eventually. On the positive side, not having the trailer for Spyderfest means limited space to carry things back home and maybe more $$$$$$ staying in my pocket...... unless someone might have extra space in their trailer... ;) ;) :roflblack: :roflblack: :roflblack:

I am in Indy now and will be back here on Friday and then home (Jacksonville) on Saturday. If it works out and you need a pickup, let me know.

trailer hitch

Is there a difference between the hitch for the 2014 RT and previous years (2010-2013)? I was considering a new 2014 but may hold off if the hitch cannot be switched between my 2011 and a new 2014 and new hitches are on backorder. Any info will be appreciated.

It will fit.

I recently hooked up with Lovetheride and he had a complaint about the BRP hitch. The nuts that attach the hitch to the bar on the right side had rusted during his travels and looked fugly. Wonder if anyone else has had this happen? I though some grade 8 SS nuts would solve the problem.

Yes, they will. Just get a SS castle nut, and a SS cotter pin. Less fugly!

It's All Good...

So after calling a lot of dealers yesterday, I woke up this morning, still in Cincy, and kept at it... What do you know :yes::yes:, I found a dealer just outside of Indy who had two hitches. So I added two hours to my drive back to St. Louis, going the long way, but I got my hitch :clap:. Appointment Friday morning and pick up trailer Saturday. Thanks to all who made suggestions and those that offered help. Strangers who are friends, without even meeting them...:cheers::cheers::bowdown:. Got to love SpyderLovers :ohyea::ohyea::ohyea:

On to Spyderfest AND it's all good Bob...;);)
