• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Who would have thought that Grip Puppies could make such a difference!

Regarding installing any of these, SpyderPops taught me a neat trick... Coat your current grips with hand sanitizer before sliding these on.... it acts as lube, and then evaporates and makes the job much easier.

I love grip puppies since they smooth out the vibrations and have used them all my bikes that came with smaller diameter grips but I’ve never had heated grips so that wasn’t a factor.

I've used Grip Puppies on my two wheeled bikes and liked them.

I considered adding them to my F3 but I was wondering if the Puppies would stretch enough to fit over the 'flange' on the outside of the OEM grips?

Those who have installed these, were you able to stretch em enough to over the ends of the stock grips?

You'd risk the chance of either tearing them or stretching them out too much. Just a very short m6 screw to remove bar ends.

It appears that the Grip Buddies are wrap-around rather than slip on like the Grip Puppies.

Correct.. Grip Buddies wrap around. Grip Puppies/Grab On/Lamonster/TricLED slip over. I've used Buddies/Grab On/Lamonster leather type. The Grip Buddies Lites fit very nicely and are thin enough that heat comes thru decently. Grap Ons/Lamonster are thicker. The leather texture made my palms sweaty when not wearing gloves. The texture of the Buddies is very nice. My fave by a large margin.

I already have a good trick for installing grips. I use my air compressor along with a trigger air nozzle. Get the grips started on the end of the bar, insert the air nozzle under the edge of the grip and give it a blast of air while pushing the grip onto the bar. Works like magic!

I'm not talking about the bar ends; I'm talking about the ends of the stock grips. On mine there is a large 'flange' on the outside of the grips. The Puppies would have to be stretched over the flange or the stock grips would have to be removed, then install the Puppies over the stock grips and then reinstall the stock grips with the Puppies already on the grips.

They'll slip over with zero issues. As stated above, hand sanitizer works great. But Grip Buddies Lites are best :)

I received a pair of foam grips that came free when I ordered something from Spyderpops. I have lidlocks on the bar ends, and I just used hand sanitizer to lube them up before slipping them on.
I wasn't sure I even needed them, but now I like them.
They're quite thin. I would imagine they wouldn't affect the heating properties of heated grips.
