Why is my Tire pressure so low?!

I have a '24 F3 limited. I currently have about 150 miles on it. That’s how new it is. Checked the tire pressure and the front tires are at 9.5 in the rear is at 10. I think that is weird that it went out of this door like that. Is there a reason that might’ve happened?

I’m almost embarrassed to say it but I panicked when I read the tire pressure on my new F3. It was ridiculously low. So I asked my neighbor to check it cause he has good equipment and I was relieved to find out that the pressure is OK. He used a Jaco elite pro gauge that reads up to 60 psi with a 10” hose and a 45° tip, not digital. Just ordered my own.

Yes there's a reason it went out the door like that; your stealership is more concerned about their profits then they are the quality of their product. Find a new dealer, this is a fore teller of things to come with this dealership.

OEM Kenda tire pressure is 20# front/28# rear

that is PSI. Anyway I have egg on my face because it turned out to be my gauge was a rotten one. I have since bought a very reliable non-digital gauge.

If you haven't invested in a quality tire gauge, not one of those pencil thin pieces of crap, run to your nearest auto parts stores. And you don't need one that measures more than 60 lb. unless you also drive a semi.

In your post you didn't say it was PSI, that is why I was asking. I am glad that you've now got a very reliable non-digital gauge.

Frankly, I prefer a good digital gauge. Any gauge can go bad. It could have been nothing more than weak batteries in your gauge.

People tend to underestimate the importance of tire pressure on a Spyder/Ryker. Front tire pressure is fairly critical on a Spyder. And it is just as important to get both tires at the same pressure. A digital gauge will typically get you closer than most analog gauges. You can get digital gauges that give you pressure in 1/10th pound increments. A bit of overkill, I suppose, but try that with an analog gauge.

If you get an analog gauge, look for a dial gauge. The pin or rod type gauges are notoriously inaccurate and imprecise.

Don't use these if you can avoid it.




Get a Dial gauge if you go analog. And stay at 60 lbs. or less. It will be more accurate for the tire pressures used on a Spyder.




But the best way to get accurate and even tire pressure in your front tires is with a good digital gauge.

On my 2024 F3 Limited the sticker in the Frunk 28 psi for the rear and 15 psi for the front? Owners manual doesn't list a pressure.

I have not found it easy to get a recommendation on the Tire Pressure for my RT either? When I look for it in my manual on page 104 all I’m finding is a suspension pressure? From my limited amount of reading, I believe mine is probably set too high, but I hesitate to get down to make any changes until I know for sure what it should be?

Page 104 was for the Spyder F3 Operators Guide.

For the Spyder RT Operators Guide it's page 101 in the section titled:

Tire Pressure and Maximum Load

It also mentions that the information is located under the operator's seat.
And there's a picture with an arrow showing you where the sticker is.

My brother-in law got me a digital tire inflator a couple years back for Christmas. It works great. For the weekly check I use a small digital gauge from Orylies I think. Any who, the 2 gauges match pretty close, like a couple tenths.

Your tire size and pressures are posted on your swing arm on the belt side I believe!

Or trailer. The tires on ours run at 80 PSI
