• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Wire color for power outlet in Trunk

I was reading through some old posts attempting to find out what the wire colors are to the power outlet in the trunk for 2015 RT-S. I read a post that referenced that they could be accessed by removing the left side passenger grip. However the post did not mention the color of the wires.

Does anyone know what color they are?

Thanks...

Normally in 12VDC situations the wires are red and black. Black being the negative or ground wire and red being the positive or power wire. However, when I wired in my turn signal leds on my mirrors this was not the case. The black wire was there but no red one so I assumed the black was negative and the other wire (can't remember exact color because it was bi-colored) was the power wire and all worked as it should. Also if you start tracing colors at the grip they could change by the time they get to the trunk. Best bet would be to remove power outlet and check colors there. Hope this helps.

For 2013 and I assume the 2015 will be the same. The live is violet with a yellow trace and the ground is black.

you looking for the 12v plug in the trunk, or frunk? In the frunk its already attached to the plug you attach to the 12v outlet and sitting to the right side of the battery. Not sure about the trunk.

The wire color for the front trunk or the rear trunk is the same.

Thanks everyone...

I have enough information so when I pull off the hand grip panel on passenger side I have an idea on what wire color to look for.
