• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Yet another windshield discussion

I had a 22" madstad which broke into 4 equal pieces in my wreck/rollover. The madstad brackets seem to have survived. This puts me in the position to try and do better, if that's possible.

I love feeling the wind but I can do without so much wind noise... don't much like wearing earplugs except on long rides.

I also prefer the look of small shields, but would like as much noise reduction as possible.

That all said, I'm trying to decide on which shield to use on the madstad brackets.

I'm 5'9" with SSL (StupidShortLegs) so I sit closer to the eye level of someone about 5'11". The 22" madstad worked fine but it was quite close to vertical...

I feel like trying the 18" but I don't like wasting money. Anyone tried the small shield? Or the 16" BRP Sport Touring shield drilled for madstad brackets?

Maybe a small shield with the right adjustment could satisfy...

Thoughts? Experiences? Poetry? Witty remarks?

My wife and I tried other shields on the Madstad brackets but never any smaller shields than the Madstad ones, only larger ones like F1. We didn't see any major benefits so we went aback to the Madstad shield. It's been so long since we did this I can't even remember any useful advice to give. :dontknow:

The more I think about it the less my question makes sense.

But thanks for the replies!
