• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Yoshimura exhaust

This may help

I have a Yoshimura R77 S/Steel on my 2010 RT -S SE5 2010 Model and I rate it in looks and Noise output

Just put Yoshimura in the Advance Search box to see a lot of threads on this exhaust

The R77 on my RS is just a little louder than stock WITH the insert in.

Without the insert, it's significantly louder than stock, but not as loud as many other aftermarket pipes.

As I'm not a loud pipe guy, I like the Yoshi quite a bit: changes the sound from that boring stock exhaust, but isn't offensive to your friends and neighbors.

I love the Yoshimura on my RS and it sounds just as good on the RT. Great sound, not too loud but has authority. It has lasted over 25,000 miles. Not all mufflers can do that.

HAD

I had a Yoshi on mine, it was GAWD AWFUL LOUD.... welded in a baffle system, which brought the 'decibles' down a bit, but it's was still too loud...:banghead: wanna buy it...?
had it on an '09 RS...

Hey Ron, have you bothered to repack yours? I think that Yoshi suggests repacking it every 10,000 miles or so. It doesn't look to hard to do by oneself, but just wondering what the "real world" margin is.

Do you need a fuel.managment device with the yoshi and k&n?
Thx

I ended up needing one. I went with the exhaust first, got popping, then with the intake, still got popping. I added a JuiceBox Pro and solved that problem.

If I had to do it over again though, I'd probably go with the PowerCommander with autotune-- tweaking the JB Pro without a dyno (i.e., just by the seat of your pants) isn't easy, and I'm sure isn't all that great an experience for your engine until you get it right, either. (And "right" is defined completely subjectively, i.e. my bike feels like it accelerates just fine, no hiccups and no popping, but the internals probably still show some inefficient at best, harmful at worst mismatch in my dialed-in mapping).

Plus, the other annoying thing is that every time the temperatures swing wide or I end up changing elevations significantly, I have to tweak the JB again. Easy enough to do with an eyeglass screwdriver, but again, would be nice to have some of that autotune capability to handle it automatically.

The Yosh, coupled with deleting the CAT, was a terrific change for my RTS - greatly enhanced performance and fuel economy, and with the insert in, sounded nice, but not obnoxious. I would highly recommend this mod.

I have a video & thread on my changes somewhere on the forum.
