Your Weather News @ January 2026 Edition

Currently 48 degrees here in the desert. Humidity is 68% and it's mostly sunny with a few clouds drifting around. Todays high will only get to 58..... cool for us. We had some pretty good (and loud) thunderstorms pass through yesterday. It was a good day to finish off my homemade beef stew and relax (nap) in my recliner. Today, it's off to our Friday car show and socialize (swap lies) with my buddies. Stay safe..... Jim

Weekend Weather from Indiana. This morning we are having a
cold spell starting and it will last for a while.
Currently overcast sky at 37°F.
The wind chill makes it feel like 17°F.
We got spoiled by last week's warmer weather. I am over it now.

Today's high should be 41°F with clouds.
Low at 21°F and a chance of getting some rain.
Maybe get some snow showers.

Sunday's high at 30°F with some clouds.
Low of 23°F. Always a little chance of snow.
Remember it is still the season of Winter.

Have yourself a Blessed Weekend.
Check on your family and friends.
Stay Healthy and Be healthy.

58 degrees and heading towards a high of 63 here in the desert. It's breezy... 8 MPH with gusts to 15. That makes it feel cold. There are no clouds and humidity is 23%. We will warm a little each day and get back to mid-70s by Wednesday. No rain in the foreseeable future. Stay safe..... Jim

That Arizona warm 60°F will make your Snow melt. So no Sledding in Vermont. Just saying about that.

Currently cloudy sky at 34°F with some rain showers coming today. Just have a lite dusting of snow on the ground.
Decided to call the Tree Service about the tree down in my yard. I couldn't believe the price. I will just be patient for a while.

Today's high will be 51°F with clouds.
Low of 37°F and some rain showers.
I hope you can enjoy your Day.

HI Little Blue,
We had temps in 40's & 50's here in Vermont. We still have snow here in Vermont.

The current temp is 34 degrees, and warm.

Today, here in Vermont, we had a much less windy and relatively pleasant day. Some morning sunshine gave way to increasing clouds during the afternoon. Highs were mainly in the 30's, which made it a decent day to be outside (I did not go out on the snowmobile trails). The next system will spread snow in the region during the evening. It will mix with sleet, especially in the South. Some freezing rain is now expected in Essex County, New York, and across the Southern portions of Vermont and New Hampshire, with up to 0.2" of ice possible. For that reason, those locations are under a Winter Weather Advisory from 5 P.M. (EST) to 10 AM Sunday. This will quickly taper to a few showers on Sunday morning, with scattered snow showers continuing during the day. Highs will again be in the 30's. A cold front will then come thru Sunday night. A few snow squalls are possible.

Total accumulation during that time frame will be wide spread 1 to 3 inches in the valleys, with locally 4 or more inches in the mountains. Though major, prolonged, travel impacts aren't expected, the roads will be a bit slippery tonight and again Sunday night.

Only a few snow flurries are expected on Monday, otherwise it will be partly sunny with highs in the upper 20s to low 30's. Tuesday will be dry, then snow showers are expected overnight. This will continue in the mountains on Wednesday, but mix with rain in the valleys. Highs will be in the 30's on Wednesday, then plummet into the single digits and teens overnight as the clipper front draws in much colder air behind it.

We will be in the middle of January by the end of the week, and it's going to feel like it. Thursday and Friday will be mostly cloudy and cold. Highs will be in the teens with lows a few degrees above and below zero.

Some one really pissed Mother Nature off!

Welcome back from the Weekend. Just a little too cold for me. I received about a half inch of snow yesterday morning. No problem with driving to Church.

Calling for a little warmer than yesterday. Currently mostly clear sky at 23°F, with a wind chill effect of 12°F.
Next snow day is possibly Wednesday or Thursday.

Today's high at 39°F with some sun in the afternoon.
Low of 30°F and cloudy later this evening.
Indiana Flu season is in full swing.
Protect yourself from those germs.
Stay Healthy and Warm.

All is good for now. Have yourself a great day. Till Next Time my Friend👍

Currently in the desert: 70 degrees, slight breeze of 5 MPH, humidity at 18% and a few high cirrus clouds. The high today will be 73 and the overnight low will be 47. Our golf course is being used to the max, the bocce ball and pickle ball courts are full. Beautiful winter day in the desert. Stay safe..... Jim

Well the next snow day is this Wednesday. Don't know how much at this point in time. So everyone will stock up on supplies. Just the way these things seem to go. I am good to go here.

Currently cloudy sky and 35°F this morning. Should be a warmer day with some sunshine mixed up with clouds.
Hard to believe that this is now January 13th 2026. Tax Season is starting, oh my goodness.

High today of 51°F with a little sunshine.
Low at 34°F with clouds.
Plan ahead and remember those who need help this season.

Enjoy Life and stay Healthy.

Wednesday morning and the snow is scheduled for 10am to 2pm.
Saying it should be about a half inch or less. Sounds good to me.
Currently cloudy sky at 41°F with the wind chill it feels like 36°F.

Today's high will be only 44°F.
Low at 14°F with some wind chill.
Definitely not the temperatures I would like to enjoy.
Just about two months till Spring.
Make me feel good about this.

Be Healthy and Enjoy your Day.

No snow or ice here in the desert. Today's weather is exactly why Snowbirds flock here in the winter. Currently; 69 degrees, blue skies, humidity at 30%, 3 MPH breeze. The high today will be a balmy 78 and the overnight low will be 46 degrees. There is no rain in the foreseeable future. I'll quit gloating about our weather come June..... I promise! Stay safe..... Jim

Edit........ It made it to 81 in Phoenix today!!! OK, OK, I'll quit now..........

Well, here in Vermont we have rain coming. It will move in late tonight and transition to widespread snow by tomorrow morning, creating hazardous commute conditions for some of us. They have issued a First Alert Weather Day due to moderate to heavy snow impacting mostly the morning commute (I am retired, so I don't have to go out on the roads tomorrow), combined with sharply falling temps and dangerous wind chill conditions. A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for Northern St. Lawrence, New York, Northern Franklin, New York, and NorthWestern Clinton Counties, with a Winter Weather Advisory for the remaining North Country and Western Clinton/Essex Counties of Vermont. Bitter cold follows through Friday with the wind chill dropping to -8 degrees leading into Friday morning.

Tonight will be mild, with rain changing to snow overnight, primarily in the mountains. The lows will be around 33 degrees, with Southerly winds at 5-7 mph becoming light and variable. Rain will develop late this evening and continue for most of the night. The rain will transition to snow overnight, mainly above 3,000 feet in the mountains, with the changeover occurring by midnight to early Thursday morning in the higher terrain. A quick freeze is likely for untreated surfaces as temps plummet late tonight. This could create pockets of black ice on some of the roadways, especially on elevated surfaces and bridges.

On Thursday night around midnight, the temps will be 36 degrees, falling to near 22 degrees by the afternoon. Temps will continue falling sharply from morning to afternoon with the wind chill near 28 degrees in the morning, down near 14 degrees in the afternoon, and dropping to -8 degrees by evening. NorthWest winds at 8-13 mph, gusting up to 23 mph. Snow is expected throughout the morning and afternoon, becoming heavy at times, especially in Northern New York. Northern Saint Lawrence, Northern Franklin, and Northern Clinton Counties will see the most intense snowfall, with widespread 5-10 inches, and accumulations of 3-5" across the rest of the North Country. Some parts of Vermont will see 2-4 inches of snow with 1-3" in the Southern parts. Difficult travel conditions are likely throughout the day especially in the morning, especially mostly for New York.

The night time temps on Thursday will be down in the single digits, with the wind chill dropping to -8 to -15 degrees. We have a very bitterly cold night ahead.

Friday temps will be low to mid teens in the higher terrain, with the wind chill near 9 degrees in the afternoon. Wind chill values will be as low as -8 degrees in the morning. West winds around 10 mph will tend to becoming Southerlies in the afternoon. Gradually increasing sunny Conditions remain brutally cold with dangerous wind chill levels beyond the morning. Dangerous wind chill levels will make conditions hazardous for any outdoor exposure.

From here on out through next week, Monday, Tuesday and beyond we will be hit with Frigid Air again.

I would some of you send some warm weather to Vermont. I am ready for Spring!

Deanna

This Colder weather is here to stay. Looking at the next Seven Days. Not what I wanted for us.

Currently cloudy sky at 15°F with a wind chill of 10°F. Looks like a good 'John Wayne' movie day.
Also another 'crock pot' cooking time. I love the wonderful smells.

High today of 24°F mostly cloudy.
Low at 17°F. No snow here till Friday.
Stay Warm and Healthy.
Till Next Time my Friend. (y)

Good Friday Morning to everyone. Well I have about 2" of the
'white stuff' on the ground here in Indiana. Makes everything
look nice and clean. The roads are still drivable but maybe
slick. So be careful when you drive.

Currently overcast sky at 23°F and with the wind chill makes
it feel like 10°F. Bundle up and stay warm. All is good here for
the wife and me. Thanks for Looking.

High today is 36°F with clouds.
Low of 21°F with some snow showers
this evening. Time will tell on the snow.

This is the season of Winter so just enjoy.
Plan ahead and make good decisions for
your Safety and Health. I decided a few years
ago to slow down a little bit. Think about
what is important and always have the option
to change my mind.

Have yourself a Blessed Day Everyone 🙏

Lots of 6s in my report today. Currently 68 degrees. The high today will be 76 and the overnight low will be 46. Humidity is 26% but the wind is not 6 MPH, it's only 2! There are no clouds in sight. Getting ready to dust off my old blue pony and head out to Friday's gathering of motor enthusiasts. Stay safe and warm..... Jim
