• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Bright sunny morning from the desert! Currently, it's 58°, the skies are clear blue, the wind is calm, and the humidity is 85%. The high humidity is a hangover from the last week of wet weather. We are having a warming and drying trend for the next few days. Today's numbers are 65°/58°. Stay safe..... Jim

Very nice Fall day here in the desert. 70/50, wind calm, humidity at 46%, and a few high, thin clouds. Since the 1st of September we have had about 6.5 inches of rain which is about 5 inches more than usual and is an all time record for our Fall season. Had to do a little shopping today. Went to Costco. I don't recommend visiting Costco during the week of Thanksgiving. Stay safe..... Jim

It is currently raining here in Vermont. The temps today were in the 40's, partly sunny.

Rain is currently moving in this evening, which means overnight light/moderate rain is expected. This is just the start of our unsettled pattern, with rain shower chances Wednesday and snow showers chances Thursday and Friday. Travel for the holiday will not be equal each day this week.

Wednesday's rain chances will result in very minimal impacts, just some wet roads. Morning lows will be in the low 40's and this is when our rain chances will be the greatest. Light rain, drizzle, and showers are expected primarily in the first half of the day, while chances decrease and return to just mostly cloudy through the afternoon and evening. High temps will reach the mid 50's. That is gonna be balmy. Another chance for light rain showers overnight and on into Thursday.

Thanksgiving Thursday will be very windy conditions, with wind gusts up to 30MPH! Conditions will be mostly cloudy with temps in the upper 30's to start out. Throughout the day, temps will start crashing and as cold air filters in, afternoon snow showers are possible. This will be due to a lake effect snow event that will occur Thursday and Friday. So the greatest snow accumulations and impacts will be to the West of Watertown, New York, and North of the New York State Thruway. There will be a few flurries for the region, but some of those snow showers could bring some quick accumulations which could impact travel on Thanksgiving and Friday.

Friday will start out in the upper 20's and low 30's with a chance of valley snow showers and mountain snow. Snow showers are likely Friday, before tapering of a bit into the evening. Afternoon high temps will be in the low 30's. It'll also be another breezy day with wind gusts up to 28mph.

Heading into the weekend, we'll see a partly sunny and cold Saturday with a chance of snow/rain showers moving into Sunday with conditions still on the cold side.

The current temp is 42 degrees and light rain.

Happy Holidays!!!

Send time with family/friends during this holiday season.

Deanna
