How important is it for me to give the dealer 350$ for my first svc.? i can do the oil change and check fasteners myself?

Save your receipts so that you have proof that you performed the service yourself. :thumbup:

I think of all the services, the first one is the most important. Also, shop around some dealers do it cheaper then others.

600 mile svc

Just had my 3000 mi oil change and check up on my 2016 RTS today, $152 and change.

My first checkup was about $200 also.

What I did on my first services was to do the oil change at home and then have the dealer check the rest. It is a good idea to have it hooked up to BUDS to be sure there aren't any updates needed.

I also have to pay the $300 $350 service cost for a oil change/filter/checkover. The only dealer in AK and the next nearest is over 1500 miles away. :thumbup:
