• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Let’s start a fad - passing Spider Rings (from Amazon) to other Spyders

No Bell on my F3S, but I wear an Icon motorcycle jacket, and each jacket comes with a Saint Christopher Medallion sewn in the inside lining near the pocket.

Yeah, I know about Gremlin Bells. My step son bought one for my Spyder, and I hung it from the right lower A arm. But I didn't think those bells from Amazon would qualify. So it seems I didn't know as much about them as I thought I did.

My wife gifted me this Gremlin/Guardian Bell for Christmas this year. She read the story about bell tradition but she missed the part about the gifter being the one to install it. I told her it has to be mounted as close to the ground as possible by the person who gave you the bell. 😁

Probably trying to be like the old Gremlin Bells from a long time ago. The story was that if a friend gave you a Gremlin Bell as a gift and you attached it under the frame some place, then it would keep the Gremlins away. If you bought your own Gremlin Bell and put it on your bike, it would not work. Story said it had to be a gift for it to work. A better idea was to just keep your bike in good repair and the Gremlins usually stayed away.

The aftermarket sellers on the web sold a lot of the 'official' Gremlin Bells.

It was a Harley thing, but we all know nothing can keep a Harley from having problems.

Once received, the owner can put it on the bike. But since you don't own a Harley, you are pretty safe.

It's a motorcycle thing, and not exclusive to Harleys.

And my Spyder has a lovely gremlin bell.

I posted a picture of it in post #12 of this thread.
Mine does, too, courtesy of my oldest step son. I hung it from the right lower A arm so I can see it while ryding.

Jeeps pass ducks to other jeeps. I’m trying to pass spider rings (Amazon) to other Spyders, if I see one, which I haven’t. 😎. So far, 4 young boys, and it made them happy. I have several hanging on the bike… they all stay on!
New 2025 RTL. Love it!

Thoughts?

Tom
No thanks, things like that scream trendy to me. If I give my true feelings I'll get banned.
