• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Must the spring be compressed to allow Adjusting the Shocks?

2025 F3L Special Series. Tried to adjust the front shocks. Could not turn either lock ring! Must the spring be compressed to take the pressure off the adjusters?

If the shocks are the same as I have on my S2S they don't adjust! P.S I just looked at the parts break down of that shock, and it says you have an adjuster, so lift the wheel off the ground by the frame and try to turn it, the fly in the ointment will be if it will adjust enough for you! Good luck!!

The locking rings come from the factory so tightly bound that we have to remove the shock and usually do some damage to the tabs to get them broken loose. They are ridiculously tight. I have no idea why they do this other than maybe they don't want customers adjusting them at all. Like that makes any sense.

You can try lifting the wheel off the ground to relieve some pressure. But we've even removed the spring altogether and that did not help. Because it's the locking rings and not the spring pressure that is the culprit. Once broken loose, they don't need any more than a gentle snugging. Then you will be able to adjust them without the grief.

On my SxS I used a round brass punch ground flat on one spot to knock the lock rings loose. In movable collar adjuster on the newer F3's maybe with two people one holding a dead weight against a tab on the upper ring while to other hits a brass punch on the locking ring the other direction.

Yes, this can work. I guess having a shop gives us options that are not necessarily the easiest way to go.
