Just curious does going to the auto tire change what the speedometer says?
Sure does!
The OEM tires make your Spyder's/Ryker's/Canyon's speedos (and odometers/trip meters) read anything up to about 10% FASTER (or further) than the machine's true speed (distance), because by International convention & agreement, ALL automotive vehicle manufacturers do this, as they're allowed (or maybe required in some places!) to set vehicle speedo's/odo's to show that they're travelling faster/have gone further than is strictly true by anything up to that margin; but by the same agreement, they aren't allowed to read slower/less distance by ANY margin at all... altho the variation percentage can vary from manufacturer to manufacturer, model to model, and even specific vehicle to any other specific vehicle, so
your Spyder's variation will probably be slightly different to any other Spyder!
This means that by fitting an auto tire onto your Spyder, an auto tire that's got a slightly larger rolling diameter will make your speedo (and odometer/trip meter) read something closer to the true/accurate speed (distance) that your machine is/has travelled! Smaller rolling diameter tires might
look 'cool' to some, and might make it easier to spin up the rear tire, but unlike the larger rolling dia tires, where anything that will actually fit into the unmodified wheel well will work, the smaller rolling dia tires aren't always that easy to fit, they really aren't all that great for riding, suspension life, handling, performance, or tire/supension/engine longevity!

And by fitting a slightly larger rolling dia auto tire that's built to be able to handle about 3 times the load of a Spyder/whatever and then running it at a more appropriate (lower) pressure for the lighter load of a Spyder vs the car that tire could carry at 28-30 psi, you'll get traction, ride, handling, and tire longevity benefits too! Wins all around!!
