• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

25,000 miles in just under 21 months! Not a Record! But, still WOW!!!

Everyday, it's still like the first! Only, better! I passed the 25,000 mile mark yesterday on the way home from the office. The 21 month anniversary date is 6/27/10.

Thanks everyone! :2thumbs:
If it hadn't been for the wicked winter we had, I would have been over 25,000 a couple of months ago! Lol!
I hope everyone has been doing well. I know, I haven't been around in quite some time. Linda, a girl I work with, recently took delivery of a 2010 RT-S in Blue. It's soooo nice! She posts here, as well.

And, our band (The Office Band) has been keeping me busy, too. We are playing our 22nd show tomorrow night. For those interested, we can be found on FB. :D

... more later

There he is.

Nice to see ya GregH. Haven't seen that avatar here in quite some time. Looks like the miles have been good to you. Keep on Truckin'. :)

Also Greg, have you heard of Grooveshark.com? A dynamite website for listening to music on. They don't have everything but the've got a lot!
I've hardly been on Windows Media Player since I found this site.

All in All, I have indeed been a very happy Spyder owner. I just wanted to mention that again. At 21,000+ miles, I replaced my front tires for the first time. And, had the dealer also install the 2nd replacement rear tire. So, each rear lasted me about 10,400 miles.

Each way to work for me is 28 miles. So, if I ride each day, I'll cover over 300 miles per week, easily. And, last week is the first real week of dealing with rain on the Spyder. No problem! I say this because although, I have been in the rain before, we experienced it on 3 ocassions this past week. I put on my Frogg Toggs, Nelson-Rigg overboots, and Tour Master Rain Gloves, and GO!! :2thumbs: Of course, still keeping an eye out for those that want to run over us! And, as I have mentioned before, rain was never fun on 2 wheels. On the Spyder, no worries.

I have had no real issues with my Spyder, either. I did notice a couple of weeks back that my right front brake rotor is scored. But, I guess that does happen. I suppose a rock got caught in the caliper. Anyone else experience this?

Regarding brakes, I had my replaced at about 12,500, I think. So, in another 1,000 miles or so, I'll take it in for the 25,000 service, and have them checked. They were fine at 22,000 when I had the tires, and oil changed.

And, many days are just like in the beginning days of Spyder ownership, where I get stopped, and asked about the machine. I never tire of talking to folks about this most extraordinary ryde.

:congrats: on your 25,000 miles of nearly trouble free ryding. That is great to hear.

Thanks! Great looking Spyder, by the way! :2thumbs:

Oh! And, regarding 'Spyders in the Smokies'; it looks more like we will be heading that direction to ride the Blue Ridge Parkway. But, not sure of the date.
