NorCal Spyder Ryders hit the Sierra Foothills (1.29.2011)

Less than ideal riding conditions don't hold us back... we had 11 Spyders and 13 Ryders make it out for the ride up to the Sierra Foothills this past Saturday.

The day started off in the high 40's and it was overcast most of the day. The sun did peak out as we made our way up into the foothills and got up to just over 60 degrees. We had lunch at Mel's Diner in Jackson.

What a great way to spend a Saturday! :2thumbs:

Though when you say less than favorable conditions, this comes to mind. This was taken an hour ago and it still hasn't let up

same deal here in kansas your ride looked grate and the weather sounds outstanding compared to kansas today blizard ,i used to live in galt calif and flew ulterlights out of lodia cal.f.still have a lot of frends there around lodia.here my piks of today just like the other guy in mo. and this is hapining now its 405 pm here and it a full blowen blizard.:gaah:

Here in florida our meet & greet on the 29 turned out having 17 show 8 spyder and only 5 going on the 60 mile ride the weather was great 70* If you click on the forum top left then click on florida then click on { Pic of 2nd meet & greet by jc } you can see our pic hope you like them jc. That totally sucks! My parents still live in Indy, so I hear about the weather all the time. I saw the forecast out that way... totally stinks.

Come out to California in August for our Spyders in the Redwoods event so you can forget about all that snow.

Did you just say "ya'll" and "kiss my grits"? LOL!! Mel's Diner is yummy. The last one I ate at was in Pigeon Forge, TN during Spyders in the Smokies 2009.

Speaking of which, when are you coming on a ride with us? We have scheduled rides twice a month. Our next one is on the 12th... the 200 Miles to Lunch ride from Pacheco to Clearlake to Calistoga. Then we have another one, the East Bay Loop Ride on the 26th. The ride calendar is on our club website.
