Just bugs!

There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.
What did you do to your Spyder today?

I do have some fins to straighten out. The radiators aren’t in too bad a shape. The oddest thing I’ve found so far is all the grain in my primary air box.
I'd be more concerned about that ^ - it's usually a sign of damn rodents, which also love to chew wires.
My next door neighbour had mice get into her car; it was over $2K to get the wiring and seatbelts replaced.

I HATE those damn things. They're acidic and very bad for paint, and they taste horrible when they fly in your mouth.

I wear a stretch neck gaiter under my helmet when them things are around. I pull it up over my mouth and nose before I put the helmet on. I try not to eat very many of them.
Went for a ride near Lake Medina, TX then put an adjustable brake rod on and moved my footpegs to position one, in order to stand up when needed. I also took off rear fender and put a side plate mount on. I tried a rear mount under the seat area but due to the Spyder's horrible rear shock it ripped it off halfway through my ride.

I went for a well-deserved ride today. The fall colors were beautiful, not fully turned yet but still pretty, and I would hate to live where all those bugs are! We have bugs here in Wisconsin, but nowhere near that amount. I can't imagine all those bugs when I'm riding. lol

Got back from a trip to Colorado and New Mexico a week ago. Was feeling lazy and had a doctors appointment one day which laid me up for a day. Finally got around to cleaning up the bike. We had rain 2 out of 7 days, along with some hail, plus it was damn cold in the mountains in the rain. Then a 108 degree day to bake the water spots and bugs on. Looks better now.

I spent the morning installing the TricLED fender lights that replace the reflectors. The video shows removing the fender to do the install and for me that would be 5 bolts and a set of Dynamic Driving Lights to remove just to get the fenders off. Well, there are only 3 lug nuts on the wheels and guess what, it was very easy to jack up the front end, put blocks under the lower A arms, and remove the wheels. This made installing the lights just that much easier, except the part where I put the wrong red light on the right side and the strobing turn signal was going down instead of going up.
Darn that was hard to get off in one piece, in fact that thing broke open. Well, after a good clean up and removal of the old silicon sealant, I was able to fit it back together and spot weld the plastic with a fine tip soldering iron, followed by a smear of silicon seal to keep water out. I had some double sided 3M foam tape to use, and I was back in business.
Moral of the story, no matter how many times you have watched the install video, always watch it again, just before you preform the install!

Installed a set of Viking Raven 40-liter saddlebags on my wife’s F3-S this evening. Had just gotten the first bracket mounted, and we were marking the bags for drilling the bolt holes when the electricity went out in our whole neighborhood. So, I finished the install by way of headlights from my wife’s F150 Tremor. Nice bags, looks like they’ll be a great addition. But their instructions are CRAP!!
