This past Thursday, I got my Spyder inspected (State Inspected), and ran an errand.
Then yesterday morning, took the Spyder again, and ran another errand.

No, the type with zip lock closures. The type used in vacuum sealers?
I'm about out, how'd you know?![]()
Suggestions:Completed a new dash system. Here are a few photos (hope I uploaded them correctly?). It has a 7" display, 2 cameras, TPMS, Apple Car Play, GPS, wireless interface to download photos & videos etc. Now to get accustomed to these features (but not distracted while driving).![]()

Hang in there. Riding season is almost here for most of us. Im dealing with the sane thing.I've had three rides so far this spring it's supposed to be 36 tonight and rain the next few days, spring can make up its mind anytime..![]()
me too,Hang in there. Riding season is almost here for most of us. Im dealing with the sane thing.
I sneak a ride in between showers.
You are right about needing to relocate the front camera. I'm also getting a bit of glare off the windshield. The is still plenty of light around the backup up lamp. I wonder if the download speed is closely related to the speed rating on the micro-SD card. I'll have to see how that works. It came with a type 10 128gig card. But there may be faster cards. They also recently updated the processor used in this particular model. I didn't ride today so didn't check this out ... it's raining very hard. (I suppose I could have ridden to test the waterproof claims. But 45 degrees and rain, no thanks)Suggestions:
- Relocate front camera where windscreen is not blocking it for much clearer video, especially in rain.
- Relocate rear camera a bit so it doesn't block your reverse light (or maybe put Spyder in reverse and see if it casts a shadow or not).
- Your system looks very similar to mine. If your dvr system works the same as mine, then the videos take forever to download. Best to use a separate camera system if you want to share your ride videos. Viewing videos from the screen itself is clunky but works fine. Photo downloads are fast enough.
- If you don't plan to remove/adjust the screen much, use anti-theft ram arms, just so people don't get any funny ideas...

Looks like that middle track could be a bit bumpy on the 3-wheeler. We went on a day trip covering covered bridges here in PA. We probably crossed a few of these with the missing middle track. I never liked these on the 2-wheeler either.Went for a relaxing local ride, and ended up just down the road from me at Elk River, and this is a very well used bridge and it gets flooded out every year for 3-7 days when we have King Tides in the Pacific and the water goes up the Elk and floods the bottom lands. Its a real mess.

Just an FYI. I think Washington State is one of those that requires a specific license endorsement for a three wheeled vehicle like a Spyder. Not sure, but it appeared that way last time I read the BRP website.Well, today my Arizona Spyder is going to get all cleaned and shined up before going into storage for the summer. And in a few weeks I will begin to making the new to me Spyder in Washington "mine". New PPA wheels with Vredesteins on the front, General Altimax RT45 out back, HD sway bar, LED headlight and rear turn signal, LED turn signal strips on the mirrors, mounts for GPS, Cell phone and Android Auto display, new battery. Get get the tranny recall done in mid June. Sell the trailer hitch that came with in along with the passenger arm rests. And the beat going on and on.
Yes it is required in Wa. I took the BRP riding course in Az while I was a Wa resident, and Wa would not accept it, as they require side car also. So I took the Wa course and got the endorsement. Then I switched to being an Az resident, and Az accepted my motorcycle endorsement.Just an FYI. Do you have the Arizona three wheel endorsement as well as the motorcycle? As I understand it, Washington requires a three wheel endorsement even from out of State drivers. So my AZ motorcycle endorsement is not good enough for driving in WA. How do you see it being from there.Yes it is required in Wa.
