• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

BRP figures aftermarket tires cause the windshield bracket to break, when they also break with OEM tires? That's funny.

    Girls on Spyders

They are big girls. I'm sure if they had a problem being called "girls" they would have done something about it long before now.

What my local Can AM dealer told me!!

That rule apparently doesn't apply everywhere. I bet within a 50 mile radius of my house there are over 10 Evinrude dealers.

    Shout Out For Dealer

I think it might work as long as it is limited to just good dealer experiences. Some good dealers are going to get some undeserved bashing by that one customer who you just can't satisfy should this turn in the other direction .

    Shout Out For Dealer

Ollie's service is our equivalent of Pitbull Bull Powersports for us northern folks. I also drive past a local Spyder dealer on my way to Ollie's. Sadly I don't get to see them often because I've not had any reason to bring my Spyder back for any repairs. I believe some of my good fortune with...

    Chatter noise when taking off...

So they requested or advised you to stop riding your spyder that I assume is under warranty . Now this is going on a month of down time and they never offered you a loaner or anything?

It's just a little farther than a nice afternoon ride for me or I'd be happy to give you a hand. I'm confident you'll get a reply from someone living out your way.

    auto versus manual transmission opinion

When I decided to buy a Spyder I told the salesman I wanted the manual transmission. I drove motorcycles my whole life and sort of enjoyed the shifting through the gears thing. It is one thing I know for sure we guys can do better than a woman, but anyway, enough about that. He then let me test...

    Sell or Trade In

Selling stuff yourself might be more of a hassle than you want to go through. There's always the worry about a bad check and what not all. Check with your dealer and see if he'll give you what you think is a fair trade price. But what ever you decide, by all means go get yourself that 2014...

Dyna beads in the tires yes or no

I've had dozens of tires mounted for motorcycles and one now on the rear of my spyder. I guess I don't know what's wrong with the old fashion balancing way with wheel weights. Maybe someday I should try one of the inside of the tire balancing systems.

    Unhappy Dealer

Well I have a feeling being a Spyder dealer might of been the best career move for this gentleman. To say he is upset because the company came out with a new and better product makes me laugh.

    Battery terminal loose

If you are saying the actual post is loose I'm afraid you are going to need a new battery. If you are having trouble tightening the cable to the post is sounds like the threads may be stripped or maybe the nut fell off completely. Tightening the battery cable connections is a routine maintance...

How does the new 2014 Semi Auto Downshift?

I thought I read in one of the reviews that it does downshift like the se5 did. I have 2012 rts se5 and it does downshift for you, but it' mostly does it when you are slowed down quite abit already. I seldom drive in 5th gear, but I know mine would not shift out of 4th gear at 30 mph by itself...

    Mirror issue

Taking the mirrors off well become easier the more you do it, as will all the tupperware. I was just gonna say if you broke the top mount on the mirror you might not be doing it correctly. The top mount doesn't "snap" on like the other two. When you remove the mirror just pop the bottom two...

    RT Rear Tire Wobble

The sprocket or pulley seats in some rubber pucks. My guess is they didn't get the pulley completely seated tight or evenly against the pucks. Checking the axle nut for the correct torque might correct it. The tire appears to have a slight wobble too, I'm not sure if that's normal, maybe they...

    Spyder racing

I agree the RS models would be the machine of choice. Right now used spyders still bring a pretty good price. The day will come when there will be more used high mileage machines at bargain prices, making it easier to purchase a machine to beat the crap out of on a race track. Sure it will have...
