• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I just ordered BUDS w/ Megatech license.

Went for a ride today. My speedo adjustment made a difference, it's now off 1-2mph from 2-3mph before. I went from 1868 to 1000. Next I'll try 0 and see where that gets me. The TCS off mode made no difference. I tried several button sequences trying to activate it, but no luck yet. I...

Anyone have Dynojet Power Vision results for comparison?

I have a PV4 on order from Fuel Moto. Hopefully, I'll have a few good days to test this winter, but most of my tuning will probably come next spring. I'll post my impressions when I get to try it out.

Baldwin Ironworks Cat Delete vs Lamonster's - preferences/recommendations?

Brake horsepower simply refers to the method of determining power. It can be measured at the engine, transmission, hub or wheel. Most dyno's use some form of brake, usually a water or eddy current brake, to absorb power and provide resistance to rotation. Torque is measured by a strain gauge on...

I just ordered BUDS w/ Megatech license.

I doubt he did all that with BUDS. Sounds like he had a custom tune on it, and not a very good one if it was showing warnings on the dash. I have a DynoJet PV4 tuner on order from Fuel Moto. I plan to start with one of their canned tunes, log some data and tweak things from there.

Anyone else have website opening issues over the last couple of days?

I don't care for the new look. The colors and bright look are a bit hard on the eyes.

This is what Happens when you Run with No Coolant!

I cannot fathom how anyone can be so brain-numb that they don't notice that much fluid leaking from their vehicle, or how they can continue to drive when a gauge is obviously out of range. She turned what was likely a cheap and simple repair into major engine damage.

I just ordered BUDS w/ Megatech license.

I received a new MPI from the vendor today. It finally connects to my bike. 👏 I saved the original configuration, and played around with some of the diagnostic features. I took a shot at calibrating my optimistic speedometer, and I also calibrated the steering angle and torque sensors, since I...

Anyone done a Cat Delete leaving stock muffler on?

I installed the pipe from eBay without the very restrictive baffle. My F3 has the stock short muffler. The sound is noticeably louder, but not obnoxious, and I notice less heat when stopped at a traffic light. Also a significant weight reduction. The motor is also quicker to rev, and doesn't...

Has anyone tried Different Batteries, like a NOCO 600A Lithium? How is it working?

I've had great service from Odyssey batteries. The first one, a PC-1200 in my Cobra, lasted over 10 years. I have a smaller one, I think the PC680, in my 427 stroker LS powered RX-7. About 8 years on that one so far. Of course, these stay on Battery Minders when not in use. I just picked up 6...

    Test Drove A Goldwing Trike

Sounds like that thing may have had a locked rear axle. The old 3-wheel ATC's were like that. You had to shift your weight outwards when making a slow speed turn. An open differential should allow them to corner normally, allowing of course for the inherent instability of the design.

Does Your Horn Sound Off Without Turing On The Ignition?

IIRC, the horn on my 1984 Yamaha RZ-350 does not work with the key off, and it has no hazard light function at all. Also, I don't think any of my other previous bikes had that function. My 2015 F3S does. I jumped the first time I bumped the horn button when working on it. ;)

Planning a Pacific Coast Highway trip - looking for suggestions

That looks pretty cool. I've always wanted to take a scenic train trip in a sleeper car.

Planning a Pacific Coast Highway trip - looking for suggestions

True, but PCH is one of the most beautiful scenic drives in the country, if not the world.

Any Full Synthetic oils that DON'T have issues with clutch slipping? RS V-twin motor

Not a Spyder, but I road raced a Legends car for 10 years. They ran Yamaha XJ-1200 engines, which were air/oil cooled, and the car weight w/ driver was about 1,300 lbs. Mine made about 120hp on a chassis dyno. The only clutch mods were adding a full plate in place of the thin one; and replacing...

    I got clotheslined!

People said I was lucky to survive getting shot. I tell them I'd have been truly lucky if he'd missed. It could've been a lot worse, glad you're okay.

Is there a Third Brake Light I can install on F3T Luggage Rack?

That looks like a generic stop light from Amazon or eBay could work. My F3S has a brake light controller under the seat that combines brake and turn signals for the multi-function taillights. The input of that module has separate brake and turn signals where you can pick up a brake only source.

Bummed out waiting for a part

My Dad sold power equipment, appliances and the like. I worked for him after school. Numerous times we'd rob a part off a showroom model to get a customer going, and replace it when the part came in. That's just good customer service, something that's, unfortunately, rare these days.

Bummed out waiting for a part

There are several online vendors using this same catalog format. It's very handy for finding a part number quickly. Most of them seem to be dealers that also do online sales. Here are a couple I found. https://www.canamoemparts.com/ https://www.canampartshouse.com/

Is it possible to do a DIY reflash on an F3?

I'll post my impressions when I get the chance to run some tunes. It might be a while, it's below freezing outside right now. :yikes:

Anyone tried wearing prescription goggles under a full helmet? Recommendations?

I bought my wife and I Sena Outrush R helmets. These include Bluetooth communications, integrated sunvisor, and have slots in the interior that accommodate glasses pretty well. They do run a little small, I ended up returning my large for an XL, and my wife went from a small to a medium, but...
