• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2011 RT suddenly won't start

Just had my RT in the shop a month or 2 ago with a situation where the machine wouldn't shift. after alot of testing they replaced the shift solenoid and all was ok. I went out yesterday to start up and when I went thru the procedure it started to turn and after a revolution or 2 it made kind of a zzzt sound and stopped. When it stopped turning the dash started flashing like mad even after I took out the key. I'm thinking it might be a loose connection after being in the shop so I took off both side panels to check the connections on the ground lug (rt side ) and both batt terminals on the battery. i found both terminals on the battery a little loose. there are 2 wires each on the pos and neg batt. Also 2 on the ground lug (1 from the neg batt and one from the fuel tank. So I don't know if any are missing but I tightend all 3 connections. it still doesnt do any more than it did.tried my smart charger and at first it said battery is fully charged and then said replace or service battery. Not sure what i should do next. This is 2011 RT acc with 4000 miles please advise. thanks

Sounds like its time for a new battery. Did you try to jump start bike off with a car? If it starts that way, I'd say your battery needs to be replaced.

Sounds like your battery died, is it the original, if so it's past due. Smart chargers won't bring a badly discharged battery back to life. If you have an old fashioned dumb charger put it and leave it for a couple of hours. If not if you have a volt meter put it on the battery and test it , both with key off and key on. You could also put jumper cables on i from your car, not running, just let your car battery charge it for a while and then try putting your charger on it.
