• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2015 F3 S - are there specific locations the footpegs adjust to? How far back? What to look for in a new to me purchase?

Never had a Spyder, never sat on an F3 even, but I'm going to look at a 2015 F3 S. Do the driver foot pegs have specific locations to adjust to? Also how far back can they be set? As long as I'm here, are there any specific things I should look for on this trike. It's a trade in at a car dealer. Thanks.

The rider footpegs are adjustable in 5 fixed positions along the frame rail. You can feel the locating holes on the inside of the frame rail: I believe about 2 to 2 1/2" increments, so +/- 5" from the center/standard location. There are OEM and aftermarket floor boards that use the same mounting system: check out Lamonster Garage.

There was a front drive sprocket/pulley (transmission output shaft) recall that needs to be completed. The new sprocket is off-white in color; if it's anything but that color, the official recall has not been complete. You can take the VIN and search on the BRP website to check status.

Just be aware that you will likely need either the appropriate length OEM Brake rod (& maybe the gear change lever too?) to suit whichever foot peg position you choose/need if you change the foot peg position, or you'll need to make/source a rod of suitable length.

There's quite a few here who've made up their own adjustable rods, or even fixed length rods of the appropriate length; and you can get a/mkt rods from Lamonster Garage and others - but whatever way you do it, if you change the foot peg position, you're gonna need a rod (or two) to suit! ;)

Ps: The latest and greatest 'Pulley Recall Fix' pulley is a silvery grey in colour, the 'White pulley' was the earlier coated pulley intended to stop (reduce?) the whistling noise that many had issues with before the 'Recall' hit the streets. ;)
