My dealer informs me the 2013 622 trailer I ordered to match my 2013 RT LTD has arrived, but (according to my dealer) "had a 2012 build date". To me that makes it a 2012. It has the 2012 connector and wheels, which of course, wouldn't match the bike. He offered to swap the wheels with a 2013 he has on the floor and provide an adapter for the connector, the implication being this is common and not a big problem. I refused delivery, wanting neither the depreciation associated with a 2012 vs. a 2013 registration nor the additional complexity (and potential failure point) of an adapter. He said he would order another trailer for me. My questions are were there any changes to the light functionality of the 2013 vs. that of the 2012? If the earlier designs had been satisfactory, why would BRP have changed them? What exactly is the current configuration and function of the light cluster? Is it still a cosmetic match only to the bike's configuration? How long should delivery of a new trailer take? Is the water management kit installed on all new 622 trailers? Getting a straight, logical answer to these questions seems an impossibility from my dealer, maybe you folks can help. After weeks of delays to my order, problems with the bike's setup, and the botched delivery of the equipment that comes standard with the LTD, my confidence level in my dealer is dropping, and my frustration level is moving off the chart.
