Adventures in Rykering

Today was finally a warm and sunny day, after several days of cold and rain, so I thought I'd take advantage of it to take a nice little ride.

Cruising down the highway, I was hit with a really sudden strong gust of wind. I noticed something coming towards me out of my peripheral vision. Instead of following the first rule of self preservation and ducking, I chose option 2 which was to turn my head to see what was trying to kill me. Just in time to take a stupid tumbleweed right across the handle bars and chest. I had to pull over and clean tumbleweed out of my instrument panel and riding jacket. So yea, that was different. hyea:hyea:

It was nice in Las Vegas today (back to hot next week) and even nicer in the mountains.
Wore better ear plugs and it was peaceful...but so peaceful that every time I looked at the speedo, it was much higher than expected...and that was going up a better than 6% grade above 6,000 feet elevation.
No wild horses to be seen at Lee Canyon meadows, but a nice ride of 91 miles.

like every year we made our "grossglockner" Tour - 8 hours for around 350 miles up to 10.000 feet in the mountains - wonderfull weather but still a cold wind over the snow !
This roads are more for Ryker-Adventures, a of of tight curves, faster to ryde with the CVT gearbox and downhill incredible brakes .. better than any Spyder !!

We have something similar up here in the northeast. We call it a snowdrift. :2thumbs:
