• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Aluminum Sway Bar links on my Ryker 600 seem loose - any help or advice?

I purchased a 2019 Ryker 600 last week and have been loving it.
However, tonight I noticed that the sway bar links seem loose. I’m not feeling anything loose in the steering, or any noises, but if I lightly kick one with my foot, it moves. I took a pair of pliers, and I can easily wiggle them with no effort.
I’m wondering if they need to be tightened and also is it possible to overtighten them??
I’m suspecting that the original owner installed them and was afraid to tighten them, but I’m not sure.
The tires show no signs of uneven wear at 5500 miles.
Thanks for any help or advice you can give me.
FYI, It just has the links, but no aftermarket sway bar installed.

I wish I could figure out how to send you the picture since you’re an expert on this subject.
After getting down and close for taking the pictures, I’m thinking they are just loose from improper installation but I don’t know for sure.

The links SHOULD move/rotate - that is their purpose. There should not be any slop in them, just a little light resistance to turn. Movement should be very smooth, as they are on bearings. The bolts on the top/bottom should be tight.

Several brands for the Can Am's require "spacers" between the link bearing and bolt/nut. I can't tell from the picture if the spacers are in there or not, but I am estimating they are, given the way yours are designed. It would be easy to remove one of the bolts to verify the spacers are installed per the directions provided above. NOTE: The spacers are pretty small so they're easy to lose. Be careful pulling out the bolt so that you don't lose them.

So I went out checked the links this morning and all is fine. Bolts are tight on both sides.
I was out for a ride and met another guy on a Ryker. He also had aftermarket links on his and the movement was exactly the same as mine.
