• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Any one with the Factory drivers back rest.

Does it adjust forward and back (tilt) like some of the aftermarket backrests, or just moves forward temporarily to let passengers get on and off easier?

THE BACKREST

No info for the factory backrest.......But I put a Utopia on mine and Loooooooooooooooooove it :yes::yes:.......very adjustable and less than 1/2 the price + it has a handy pouch and is removable ( I don't if the Factory one is meant to be done easily )..................Mike .....PS I have an x-tra one for sale :ohyea:

Had the BRP and didn't like it. It had me sitting on the glove box and there was no adjustment.

The shim idea was poo pooed by the member who tried it.

Returned BRP to the dealer for credit and finally installed the Utopia. It is great. Adjusts up/down and fore/aft. Best of all worlds and less expensive than BRP.

Utopia uses same mounting holes as BRP so it is an easy install.

The Shim idea made mine sit back a little bit better than stock.

Shim = two 1/2 inch spacers (one on each side) front or rear between bolt and bracket will get you a MINOR adjustment.

Have not seen the Back rest from Utopia for the 14's but i am real impressed with the BRP factory Back rest
