Anyone else notice the number of low mileage used Spyders on Marketplace? Any ideas why?

Mine was a 750 Fastback Red and Silver Metalflake. Great ride. I never should have sold it. I found out later they only put that color combination on about 250 of the Fastbacks they built and only in 1969.

I hear you, mine was a 1937 Flathead 80 and I owned it for 16 year. Sold it years ago because we needed to buy a house. Yeah the resale and investment on the house is great, but I really enjoyed riding it. I orginally bought it as a basket, with most of the parts in milk crates and a frame, which I sold because it was a wishbone (later model frame) and I needed the "straight leg" frame. I really miss it.

The average age in my 3-wheel classes is 59... Like many have said, there are lots of excuses to get rid of one. I'm on my third, because in WA State, you need to be an owner/operator to be an Instructor. That's how I got into them. Can-Am even trained us to be a "Can-Am" Instructor, even though we also teach trike and side-car.
The Spyder I'm riding now was 9 yrs old with less than 1k miles... That has red flags all over it! So far.... zero problems!!

I bought my 2021 RT base Spyder in Alabama in June of '22. The man I bought it from had two RT's, the one I got had only 1k. I flew in, he picked me up, I gave him a check, and he let me use his plate to drive it home. I still have it, and it now has 22K on it.

Not in the market for another RT, but they show up in my Facebook marketplace. I am surprised at the number of low mileage examples for sale; I'm talking 4 years old and not even ready (as far as mileage is concerned) for their 3000 mile service. I'm working yet, so not piling on nearly as many miles as I'd like, but my '24 has 15,000 miles (which pales in comparison to what some on here travel). Just an observation I thought I'd share. Anyone else notice this or have a theory as to why?

I just bought my first Spyder this summer. I quit riding 2 wheels in 2016 after I had a stroke. We took a ride shortly after I bought it; SLC to Grand Junction to Durango (Million Dollar Highway) to Moab and back home. I loved it, every minute.

I had a friend with a Norton Atlas way back. I helped him build that bike out of parts in the old wooden barracks at Ord. Good times.

Man did the mention of the wooden barracks at Ft. Ord bring back memories. I did basic training there starting in May of 1968. A/4/3 - Sgt. Fritz was our Drill Instructor.
