Anyone use Deer whistles? Do you think they work?

Deer don't need whistles. They need one of them 8 ball things with all the answers to tell them with way to run when they hear something, instead of running back and forth in the road and can't decide which way they want to exit.

Note the bit where it discusses the range of hearing that deer have... Which basically implies that if the noise the deer whistles make doesn't repel YOU all that much, then it can't repel deer too much either.
