• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I hope that the 2027 Can Am Spyder Models offer different colors, like a teal color on the F3 LTD SS models.


Maybe upgrade the F3 Spyder models, which has not been done yet.

I know that the price will be higher, so all Spyder models will be more expensive.

Maybe add some new features in all of the Spyder models?

Time will tell!

Well the RT’s went through a refresh for 2024 model year, so I strongly suspect changes will be minor and probably reserved to colors.

It would be nice to see safety features like blind spot detection and perhaps convenience features like radar assisted cruise control. Another gallon in the fuel tank would be handy.

And of course, a change to support 165/60R15 and 2x5/60R15 size tires or similar would be nice, or R16 wheels. That’s probably a bridge too far though.

We live in hope.
 
Why on Earth won't they just bleedin' well FIX all the things that still aren't working FIRST, Tires being just one of them, and it shouldn't cost much to give us an OEM stabiliser that's worth a tiny bit more to the handling than the current over-cooked spaghetti noodle; then there's better quality shocks & coils that can at least carry the likely load unaided, cos here we are 15 years or so down track and we're STILL asking what's with that bloody ACS that remains a bit of a hit and miss affair, IF it ever works as intended, and the list goes on... And TBH, I personally don't want any more digital/integrated stuff added onto any Spyder! So what about giving us a Spyder (& a Canyon for Australia!) that has all the already identified issues fixed and just doesn't have all of that crap & digital stuff that they keep loading more of onto these things?! :eek:

Aside from fixing all the existing ongoing issues that should've been fixed years ago, since doing away with the bloody smart screens and the digital dash stuff is starting to make a comeback in motor vehicles (and being legislated in some instances), maybe BRP could show that they aren't years behind the 8-ball and totally out of touch with their customers, and at least give us ONE real Reverse trike (in each model! 😋) that doesn't have any more of the digital dash crap than is absolutely necessary!! An RT, an F3, and a Canyon model without all that crap would be a phenomenal machine for many, altho maybe some would like to be able to pick and choose which 'digital' bits or luxury options they'd like to include; but still, not all of us want to ride an open air 'failed clone' of a luxury vehicle with crap tires that wear out when you look at them, sloppy handling that's soo much better with even the mildest of uprgades, and a digital dash & sooo much 'integrated' crap that's so complex to operate that most barely ever use it, IF it ever works properly anyway!! 😖

I'd suggest that there's quite a few of us who want to ride our machines with a minimum of interference, added noise, and integrated digital information overload to get in the way of the experience! All we really need is an analogue Speedo & Tacho; a manually selectable/activated Park Brake on the rear wheel (not an electronic/electrically activated device); big green arrow type repeaters for the turn indicators; a Trip meter (or two, but only if you must!); a gear selection indicator with Neutral indicator (only cos the SE's probably warrant one of them); and maybe a fuel gauge/set of giggle lights for ign, oil pressure, temp, etc. Then if we want, we can add a Phone cradle or better yet (cos I'm out there enjoying the RIDE, not chatting to my besties &/or random callers!), a proper GPS Navigator, but NOT something that's 'built in' or integrated into the dash! That sorts stuff should be something we can leave off when we don't want it, but the basic machine shouldn't have all that included in a way that means the rest barely remains workable! 🤬

Maybe we do live in hope?! But I'm not holding my breath - despite how much of a blast it is to ride a Spyder, with all it's issues, BRP's track record is not good for actually listening to anyone!! And there's STILL things wrong/poorly delivered with the basic platform that they've known about for decades that haven't yet been fixed! I love riding my Spyder, now that I've fixed most of the factory 'failures to deliver' and I've added my own choice of upgrades, but I've never seen a new Spyder release that's actually delivered on the initial promise, nor made me the slightest bit interested in buying newer! Not yet, anyway! :rolleyes:

You can believe me when I say that no-one who's ever actually met me in person &/or seen me in action has ever even suggested that I might be 'shy' or 'backwards in coming forwards' about something I believe in/feel strongly about; and to this day, despite having retired from Active Service in the Military a couple of decades ago now, I still have a bit of a reputation amongst Retired Veterans and many still Serving Personnel in our Military for giving others, regardless of rank (ie both Lower Ranks/subordinates & Senior Officers) a long (& occasionally narrow! 😋) piece of my mind if I feel it's warranted! After all, what's the worst they can do, take away my next birthday?! 😆 Many have tried but failed, and more'n once, I've come out still looking down on the daisies when I really wasn't expected to, so I'm well & truly prepared for that when & if it evrntually happens. (y)

Altho I must admit that I'm not always so polite as I was up there, especially if the point making truly warrants it - but the Moderators here would jump on me if I used my 'preferred language' for that lot ^... :rolleyes: After all, I did start out my Military Service in the Navy, and you know how sailors love to swear! ;)
 
I think the move to digital interfaces was a result of marketing a vehicle reviewers. They’ve kind of told us this is what we want, because it looks cool and modern. Vehicle makers have gone on to try to one up each other as this has become one of the few ways to differentiate their products.

I think the current 10.25” display on my Spyder is about as far as I want to go in that direction. More than this would certainly start to get in the way of the riding experience. It already has a few functions I’m not sure how to find if I haven’t used them recently. That’s the problem for me, especially with rental cars, it’s really hard to hop from one vehicle to another, there’s no uniformity of the driving experience.

I think Can Am has set the front end up to be the way it is deliberately. I think they are paranoid about new riders over driving the vehicle, so they’ve made the front feel like the way it does to discourage too high a speed in corners. I think this is a big mistake though.

Suspension parts like shocks, they just did for price I’m sure, the no catalogue options to upgrade makes me curious. They really don’t offer much in the way of upgrades in their after purchase options which I find curious. I think they are leaving money of the tables there.

Now my experience with the new XPS branded Kenda tires, I think they’ve made a step in the right direction. The wet weather performance is now much better than it was. I know Peter doesn’t like them, but I think they are now adequate for an OEM fitment. Of course delivering the bike with a fitment size that gives us options in the car tire market with perhaps a list of supported alternatives would be a huge bonus.

Of course, no bike is perfect out of the box, and I think my 2026 Sea to Sky is definitely the best Spyder to date, but I think if Can Am had a little competition in the market things might be forced to change on a much quicker timeline.

I might not use as colorful a ways as describing things as Peter. I grew up in the East end of London and I have to deliberately moderate my way of describing things as I live in the Mountain West of the US and folks here wouldn’t understand me or would be horrified by my description of things. However, I feel as passionately about things as Peter does, even if it might come across as a bit wimpy to some.

I don’t agree with every nuance that Peter describes, but at least here we can have an honest discussion about such things.

Timeline for Can Am 3 wheel motorcycles. 2007 / 2008 - 2016 GS, RS, ST models with the 990 & 998 5 speed trans. 2010 to 2013 RT models with 998 and 5 speed trans. 2014 to 2019 RT models with the new 1330 and 6 speed trans. 2015- 2026 intro to the F3 models sit lower feet forward 1330 6 speed trans. 2019 - 2026 intro to the new Ryker on / off road models with 900 and 600 engines and no shift trans. 2020- 2023 major RT model changes and in 2021 - 2026 intro to the new Sea to Sky models. 2024 - 2026 many changes again to the F3 and RT with 10.25 inch digital screen intergraded antenna change way to shift to reverse upgrade tires in 2026 to the Kendra XPS. 2025 First year for the Canyon on / off road use powered by the 1330 with 6 speed trans, The Can-Am Canyon Redrock was named 2025 Motorcycle of the Year by Rider Magazine, making history as the first 3‑wheel vehicle ever to win this prestigious award from a leading motorcycle publication.

There are many upgrades you can get from Can Am BRP and many aftermarket shops that offer lots of upgrades to your ride. Names like LaMonster Garage, Bajaron, Spyderpops, Value Accessories, Motorcycle Dave and many more. everything from Swaybars, Shocks, Lights, GPS, Pedal Box and so on.

Alot to like about Can AM; I look forward to the 2027 lineup to see what's next.
 
Here is what I'm hearing about the 2027 lineup.

1.) Cam Am will introduce the first Electric Spyder (this has been in the works for a long time).

2.) The first Shaft Drive model will be introduced (I'm thinking maybe one of the Canyon models).

3.) 20 Inch wheels that will give the Spyder Models 6+ inches of ground clearance (F3 and RT models, I think).

4.) They will bring out the big engine change from the Rotax 1330 to the Rotax 1630 (BRP has several 1630 Rotax Engines from 130 HP to 300 HP not sure which one it will be).

5.) Front wheel Drive Spyder (maybe the Electric one with an electric motor on each front wheel).

6.) Rykers get a front windshield as standard equipment (it may even be manually adjustable).

Note!! I heard all this stuff while I was sleeping last night. Have you been hearing anything?

You missed the ai photo that I saw with the rocket boosters in place of the saddle bags on a SS model. I can only dream of them really making any substantial changes. But my thoughts are just different colors. Although it is really time for a F3 series refresh.
 
I'm ready for the 2027 reveal. I wonder what new changes are on the horizon. Also, what the heck is underneath that cover??? Hopefully, something I'll wish I can afford and can actually afford :ROFLMAO:
