Blank Display - Check Engine

This morning I went to start my 08 Spyder the display was blank, turned key on and off a few times no display but I realized that the lights were working. I was able to starte the engine and then the display worked but check engine display came on. I shut it down and restarted it and the check engine went away. When I went to go home it started okay but enroute the display went blank for 30 seconds then came back on and the check engine message was again displayed. Has anyone else had this problem? Do I need to take it in for service? I just had the oil changed and had them do the service bulletins a few weeks ago.:gaah:

Have it back in service, IMHO to many unknown issues: how they apply the updates, possible bad display, and check engine light....only B.U.D.S. can answer some of it. :doorag:

Try "main relay #2" in the fuse box.

It is the same relay as the 2 other small relays (fan and head lights) When it goes bad, or in and out display will stop working as well as turn signals.

You can swap it with one of the others for a test. If it is bad replacements can be gotten at Auto Zone part number, Duralast 19271 41-5100 relay.

I had a bad main #2 relay and the same problems myself.

Yes I had that same problem also replaced bad main #2 relay never happened again. I also carry spare relays and fuses...freebob..:doorag:
