• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

brake squeal as explained by the dealer

I asked the dealer about brake squeal. He said that those drivers that rode their bike hard for the first 625miles, had little to NO brake squeal. Those that babied the brakes DID get brake squeal.

I myself, have mainly quite brakes, except when I pull to a stop and surrounding areas are quiet, I can hear what sounds like glass braking faint squeal.

I rode my brakes probably not so lightly as I had a few emergency stops during the first 625mi.

After reading the forums before getting my Spyder last year, I made sure that the dealer had cleaned the disks prior to taking delivery. Even with the cleaning, I had minor squeal until I stomped on the brakes hard a few times to "bed them". Since then no more squeal. IMHO cleaning the disks prior to any use, followed by "bedding" is the key to elimination of the squeal.
