• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

On the hip in warm weather with light clothes, shoulder holster in the winter with heavy clothes.

alternately shoulder holster with tank top in the summer and ankle holster with shorts, LOL

You can conceal a full size pistol, even a 1911 in a SmartCarry holster wear a pair of shorts and no shirt walking down the beach.

There are 'clips' used on round guns at times like in competition shooting with the use of speed loaders. Round guns is a term meaning revolvers. The thin steel 'clip' retains all the rounds at the back of the brass. So when you dump the rounds to reload all the spent rounds as well as any un-shot are all together. When using a speed loader, you don't have any rounds falling on the ground.

I have a lot of those high capacity clips for my M-1 Garand. They hold eight rounds....no more than that. It have several low capacity ones too. Two rounds.

The two round clips were built for competition purposes...sustained fire stages are 10 shots. You usually start with the two-rounder, and reload with the eights...

You're right Bob, I used to compete in the John C. Garand Match held down here in GA until I started having leg issues. This year's event is May 4-5 held at the Riverbend Gun Club and is run by Ben Franklin. Really, that's his name!

One tip for ankle holster is to get a chenille sock (the really fuzzy, soft kind) and cut the toe off about halfway between the toe and the heel. You are left with a soft tube that you can slide up above your ankle to mid-calf. Then secure your holster on top of that. It still shouldn't slip, but is much less likely to blister or just get uncomfortable. I have the Remora ankle holster. Takes the right kind of pant to pull it off so I haven't used it much, but it's not a bad way to carry.

I like the idea of the chenille sock. I'll "borrow" one of Kris'. Then I'll tell her it got lost in the dryer :roflblack:

By the way Faran, ankle holsters and capris don't work  :roflblack:

Great, Bruiser - now I'm picturing you wearing capris. Does Kris know?! Do you have skinny jeans hiding in your closet, too?:roflblack:

So, now I know why my socks have been missing. And my capris!! Well, he does have nice-looking legs, but don't know about the skinny jeans. :gaah:
