• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Watched the ISS (international space station) travel from southwest to northeast until it was out of sight. Time of sighting was 6:10 pm. Looked like a bright star moving at a good clip. Back in December we watched it travel from northwest to southeast. That time it faded just as it got to 90 degrees attitude. It's amazing that at the time it came over today it was travelling 17,148 MPH at an altitude of 259 miles, yet it took about 4 minutes from first sighting to fade out. By 6:54 pm it was over Africa. Amazing.

I've seen the space station several times. Once I also saw the shuttle within minutes of seeing the Space Station. It's really cool.

Have seen the shuttle too. Watched it one morning many years ago right after launch. It came up the east coast. Several of us stood outside the hangar with binoculars watching it.
