There wasn't much action today mostly because I think the weather man ran them all off because of the threat of rain that we never got.
I call my buddies Don and Ricky up and we had breakfast together. I've been friends with these guys for years, one through my Valkyrie club and one through my VTX club. We have all been through different bikes through the years and I'm sure we'll be through a few more before the end of the road but we'll be friends forever no matter what we ride.
As you can see they both have great looking bikes and the night before when we went to dinner and Ricky was parked not a foot away from me with his V8 chopper but even then I had a guy hunt me down in the restaurant to ask questions about the RT. When we pulled into Denny's I had another guy ask if he could take a picture on the RT. Even next to a 30K Harley and a 60K V8 chopper the Spyder still holds it own.
After breakfast we headed over to see Stan with V8Choppers.com and see whats new and talk with some old friends. Here's one of the choppers he built. I'm pretty sure you would see this going down the road.
The guys from Guts and Glory were there signing folks up for the ride. I guess it's really coming together and the last two weeks they have been able to nail down all the loose ends. I have some details about that but I'll let them tell you. All I know is I'm pretty darn excited to make this run.
I hungout at the BRP tent for awhile but there wasn't much going on so I decided to spend the rest of the day visiting folks. Stopped by Corbin but Mike was gone so I'll hook up with him later so I headed down the road and visited with the ESI guys for a bit. They were a little slow too.
Ran down the road again and stopped by to see Des at Ultimate Seats and to take a look at their new Spyder seats. They really looked great to me.
I decided to take a run down main street and shoot a little video for you all. The RT was a hit as you can see by the folks pointing and taking pics.
I got in early and got caught up on some work and went to bed. It was a slow Sunday but a great day all and all.
