Do the 2023/24 RT Speakers sound good & loud enough?

Have been searching and can’t find any reviews on this.
Do the 6 speakers on the 2023 and 2024 spyder RT’s sound good without distortion?
Are they loud enough to listen to while driving with helmet on and no distortion?

Just came back from a decent ride that had speeds up to 75mph. Wearing a 3/4 helmet, I could hear music/lyrics at 75mph on IHeart radio. Certainly not high fidelity, but what is on an open air vehicle

IMHO volume and quality is subjective and up to each individual. Regarding volume, I've found setting fade to 50% or more to the front makes a noticeable difference, not to mention setting the auto volume adjust to high instead of the default medium setting. Sound quality will likely suffer but at freeway speeds quality is probably less of a concern. Setting fade to a 60%-70% rear bias seems to improve the sound quality but at the expense of volume at freeway speeds.

Since I have comm units in all of my helmets, if I find the volume isn't loud enough at freeway speeds, I switch the audio to my helmet. I should mention that I always wear ear plugs and the reduction in wind noise seems to improve the audio coming from both the trike's speakers and my helmet speakers. I don't send the audio to my helmet when my wife and I ride together since the music gets cut every time one of us speaks or the comm unit picks up enough ambient noise. Maybe that's just a Sena thing though.

Good points made above. I find that my Sirius app provides the best sound, followed by Pandora, then IHeart radio. (All through the bikes speakers, wearing modular on the interstates or cold/rainy weather, or 1/2 helmet on twisties or local rides.)

Also, messing with the volume on the source may be needed, and getting the fade between front and back makes a difference.

Personally, I'll spend my money on other things before upgrading the sound.

I would like to chime in here... On my '23 S2S, if I am listening to Bluetooth music using the bike's audio system and my passenger is listening via the Sena comm unit on my spare helmet, we have noticed the bike's volume control actually controls the bike's speakers and the helmet speakers. Does anyone know if there is a way to have them controlled independently? Thanks.

On my 2024 F3L with 60/40 rear bias speaker setting listening to Sirius XM Satellite radio, sounds quite well wearing 1/2 helmet.

On a ride last Saturday, I had to switch to the bike's speakers rather than my in helmet speakers when my Sena needed to be charged (it was a really long day). I always wear ear plugs and I wasn't happy with the sound from the speakers (neither volume nor quality) at highway speeds. Perhaps some adjustments could have made it a little better, but if the Sena dies again in the future, I'll probably choose to ride in silence.

What Sirius unit do you have? And how did you set it up on your bike? I have a 2022 Sea to Sky and am considering adding a Sirius XM satellite radio.

I have never used the speakers as I do not share my music with everyone around me, I keep it in my helmet. Where it belongs.
