• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Engine shut down and error messages

Questions

New member
With 800 miles on a 2009 SM5 it just started to shut the engine off and leave me on the side of the road 4 times in the last 24 hrs. The last stop left me to push it off the road by hand. Thank God nobody saw these embassassing moments but I'm getting frustrated. The error message the first 2 times were VSS Fault and DPS. Today is was the VSS, DPS, and EBD. Yesterday I was turning a corner, but today I was going straight just starting to brake at 30 mph. After a short stop it starts up and goes again. With the big weekend coming up I'm hoping this isn't going to be spent in the shop. Anything I'm overlooking or am I destined for the Can AM Hospital? Love the bike, but I'm now nervous and frustrated.:helpsmilie:

Sounds like it could be a relay problem. Check the relays under the cover under the hood of the bike. Make sure they are properly seated. I have read that some riders carry spare relays for problems like the one you have described. Hope this helps :doorag:
