There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Hello.
I swear I spend too much time writing about the floor boards.
Went for a 2 hour ride yesterday on my rs and i can barely walk today..my knees are so sore.I have some knee issues and riding my spyder really aggravates it.
I dont want to sell her,,heck i just got it..but i seriously need to do something where I can stretch my legs near the front tires to relieve my knees.
So.. pegs..floor boards?
One person told me pegs are the way to do.another said floor boards..
I prefer the look of pegs..
I am in pain as i write

I don't have either yet on my RS - floorboards give you more flexible options in terms of leg position than pegs can due to what they are. So the question is which one will serve your needs better?

I'll be watching this thread closely! :)

Had the same problem with my RS. Fixed the problem with a swap for a RT, and now have the Seal floorboards on it. I would suggest the Seals for your RS, but I don't think even those can fix the "Sport Bike" positioning of the RS. Then again, I'm tall, and never found the lean onto my wrists comfortable.

I had added 5" risers, Madstad windshield, Corbin seat, KewlMetal highway pegs, and a host of other farkles. Bike drove like a scalded duck, and cornered like it should, but 100 miles was pushing it.

The RT with my floorboards has taken me 640 miles in one day, in reasonable comfort. Just my $0.02

At minimum, get some highway peg mounts and pegs. Without somewhere to stretch one's legs, anyone will hurt after a while. I rode to Colorado from Texas on an RS with highway pegs and had no problems. I am 6'-2" with a couple lousy knees. Floorboards are nice, but still won't let you stretch out.

Look at Rivco floorboards with their highway pegs. The floorboards are lower than the Sealfloorboards. They look very nice and are comfortable. My wife and I can put on 500 miles a day very easily. We each have Rivco boards.

Seal boards plus a booster seat have worked for me. I have a crippled up left leg, with a titanium femur replacement from the hip to just above the knee. The knee won't bend nearly enough to reach the pegs on my new RS, so I ordered the Seal boards even before the bike was delivered to the dealership.

It was still a little tight on the knee even with the floorboards so I strapped on an Airhawk cushion with an inch and a quarter thick high density foam pad, cut to fit, tucked into it's cover underneath. Now my knee is perfectly comfortable on rides longer than an hour. I haven't done any real distance rides yet. I'm still on my Cinderella permit until August.

I had the same issue. ( countless searching and re-searching ), finally went with the custom dynamics foot peg brackets, and after market foot pegs. Choose the 4 " extended length adjustable link and add on the foot peg of your choice. Mine is a Gs sm5 , and had some issues with equal distance for mounting brackets ( no help from supplier ) but for the time being they are quite comfortable, and hopefully will be an awesome treat, on my cross country journey.
