I searhed and couldn't find anthing, which may mean this is stupid question, but that;s how you learn.
Can the analog gage leads be used to power anthing besides other gages? Such as a GPS or satelite radio, or LEDs.

I have powered my Zumo GPS on 2010 RT with the fuel gauge power/ground leads for over 30,000 miles now with no ill effects.

Should work..!!

just make sure to find what you need...constant power or keyed power and keep the power to power ground to ground connections. If it is too much you will blow a fuse and may need a more direct source...:thumbup:

I don't recommend it, because the waires are so small and the amp capacity is very limited, but they would power an electronic device like a GPS. Be sure to separately fuse the new circuit after the point of connection.

While it can be done I also don't think its a good idea. Ever since the obd2 CAN protocol in 08' I've always wired aftermarket items totally isolated from the OEM electronics.

Modern day vehicle electronics have changed so much from the simple positive/negative connections that most of us are used to.
