• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Gopro mounting?

Just got my new gopro Hero 4Silver. Where is everybody mounting these and what mount are you using? Want to use on the trip to Spyder Fest:yes:

I've tried it all over the spyder, and the only place that is dynamic vs static is on my helmet. Of course when I do that, the LCD backpack viewer isn't much use.

I use this and I have JT dash mount as well.

I can't make out the picture very well but it looks like you have the camera looking forward but not behind the windshield. And you are using the JT dash mount correct? I have been looking at doing that with the camera attachment laying flat on the dash from the JT mount with the camera sticking out past the windshield. I have tried using the camera behind the windshield in the past on my 2 wheeler and the bugs usually interfered with a decent picture. I have the JT dash mount for my gps and it is great for that.

I also thought about using one of those gopro grip attachments on that small clear wind deflector. I put that on recently and it seemed secure but haven't had it on the road yet with the camera on it. I am worried that the camera may have too much vibration sticking out like that unsupported.

I guess as long as the camera is tied to the spyder it won't be lost.

Lots of people don't suggest it, but I stuck a regular GoPro mount to my left mirror.. I do, however, keep a safety line attached. So far no probs.

The picture above is of the GoPro mounted to the right windshield deflector using a suction mount wit a safety strap. I also have a JT dash mount (below) and use that occasional. However, the dash mount is behind the windshield and I sometimes get glare in the video.

I find it depends on the type of video you want. I have a mount on the back trunk lid, to get video of riders behind me on group rides. One below the mirror and one down low that gives a view of the shock etc. depends what you are looking to capture!

Sounds like a fun setup.

This is how I mount mine. To the helmet on the chin bar.
Give a cool perspective and looks where I look.
