• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Headlight main beam

I have a nearly new 2012 RT Ltd when I push the headlight to main beam nothing happens the dip beam running lights stay on but the upper headlight do not.
If I push the headlight switch to flash they work fine but obviously only as long as i
I hold the switch down.
Am I missing something stupid or does anyone have an idea what the problem could be.

Sounds like you have a faulty switch. But for your information, there aren't separate lights for high and low beams. One light bulb. With a shutter in front of it that moves to block light or allow more light through on the high beams.

If it's working right, you should hear the clunk of the shutter when moving from regular to high beam or high beam to regular. I don't like it at all--but don't have to do any night riding here--so always have the lights on in the regular position.

The OP is from the UK and their head light setup is different than ours. They certainly do have separate low and high beams. Their low beams are where our fog lights are. But you may be correct it could be a switch problem.

No shutters on models sold in the UK so there will no clunk to hear.

Huh

Actually while they are on the normal spot on the Spyder they do point right instead of left. I second the problem being a faulty switch or connection.
