• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

All,

I'm a new member - got my 2015 RT brand new a while ago and decided to finally replace my air filter. I'm having one heckuva time trying to get the (for lack of a better term) ring at the back of the new filter to seat. I believe it's that 'ring's' job to hold the filter tight against the intake. It's almost like that tube has shifted a millimeter to the left so there's not a groove to seat the ring into, but I have no idea why that would have happened.

Anyone got any tips for me? I'm not a mechanic by any stretch and what I read on the web was easy and should take an hour total has now turned into 2 hours of blood and frustration (bordering on panic).

Thanks so much for your time and expertise! I'm gonna go put on a few band-aids, pound my head against the wall for a while and hope someone out there has a tip...

Curious. ....

Why are you replacing the air filter..?? being a new machine you don't need to change the filter this soon. :dontknow: If it is an aftermarket filter you are installing for better performance it may not fit just right. quick test is put the old one back and see if it all buttons up. If it does then the new filter may not be the right one. Never been in one of those so not sure what the problem might be....

...:banghead::banghead:.......I saw on another thread you posted you are putting in the K&N filter, the difference between that and the OEM is the top......the K&N must align with the OEM cover or you won't be able to screw it on tight.........The bottom doesn't screw in..........Mike :bbq:

K&N

Ours went right in. Remove, put stock back in. If it buttons up, compare the two. Double check part numbers. It will go in. Relax!
