All,
I'm a new member - got my 2015 RT brand new a while ago and decided to finally replace my air filter. I'm having one heckuva time trying to get the (for lack of a better term) ring at the back of the new filter to seat. I believe it's that 'ring's' job to hold the filter tight against the intake. It's almost like that tube has shifted a millimeter to the left so there's not a groove to seat the ring into, but I have no idea why that would have happened.
Anyone got any tips for me? I'm not a mechanic by any stretch and what I read on the web was easy and should take an hour total has now turned into 2 hours of blood and frustration (bordering on panic).
Thanks so much for your time and expertise! I'm gonna go put on a few band-aids, pound my head against the wall for a while and hope someone out there has a tip...
