• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Little checking..!!

have seen the exsaust pipe break on the left side. Also check the "y" gaskets. Loose header pipe bolts will also cause the sound. Open road repairs may be tough. Loose bolts can be tightened most anywhere a patch job on the breaks I've seen could be done at most shops gaskests will hold till you can get new ones honda or oem. If any of the above you will have added heat from leaks..good luck..!! :gaah:

:agree: I went to Spyderhelp, and just pulled all of the New Mexico dealers... I also called, and left it on her cellphone...

ok good

i read the same dealers to her than asked her about roadside service so that is why she was calling len at pitbull. she also had a call from her hubby so that's the reason you didn't get a answer. she was not sure where the places were but she did have a computer with her. i wish her luck

Hopefully, she'll have a chance to check back in with a report...
This sux... we can't do anything more... :gaah:

pitbull is finding all info for me...thanks everyone....looks like my Ladies only weekend will end short or be very extended in another direction...life is full of surprises

Char,
Glad to hear that you've got some really good folks watching your back our there!
John
It figures.. the two loudmouths from New York... :D

I hope all works out well for you, and it turns out to be something they can fix quickly . . . being on the road and having mechanical problems is really miserable. Praying for you!

65 miles South of Carlsbad is in Texas. If Char's on Route 285 from what I can see her nearest Spyder shop is in Midland, Texas which
is a fair way east on I 20. But if she's spoken to Ron she'll already know that and he will be able to give her guidance.
Wish I could be of more help.....:(

Man, talk about nowhere. 65 miles south of Carlsbad is open country either on 180 or 285. There's nothing out there. Las Cruces is 200 miles west of Carlsbad and El Paso is 170 miles south west. Sure hope she gets help.

called her and told her about my exhaust leak on my bike and what I did to patch it and get home, worked for 850 miles +

Time to call for the Cavalry!!

OJ, Midland is 150 miles south east. I used to run that whole area many years ago. My ex had family in Carlsbad, Artesia, Roswell and Midland.

Just got off the phone with FlamingoBabe. She nursed the Spyder to Carlsbad and is safe and sound at the hotel.

HotGlue is driving out tomorrow with a flatbed to pick them up and take them back home.

Did I tell you FB is one tough lady?

This is FACT.....

This is a "living" example of what awesome folks are here on SL's....I have been where FB is and I "yelled" to SL's and got the same kind of awesome responses. For FB and the rest of us....thank you thank you thank you.  FB gets up and running without to much :banghead:
