• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Help!!! on the road...problems

Great to hear she is safe and sound , and the cavalry will arrive, tomorrow . . . sorry she is missing out on the weekend with her friends . . . :(

Glad you were able to limp in Char. Sorry to hear Mark had to come to the rescue with the "hook". Sounds like it may be a cracked exhaust pipe (broken weld). If that were the case the standard fix for the road is a split can (perferably steel) or piece of "tin" clamped around the pipe with a couple of hose clamps, then wrap the whole mess with exhaust pipe bandage from an automotive store.

Have been talking with FB on the phone.... she has been pulling panels to find the issue. She said there was a hole in the top of the rear pipe....... Seems the O2 sensor backed out and fell out of the rear pipe. she is working to put it back in. I'm surprised there were no codes thrown.... Hopefully this will get her back on the road for her 'Girl's Weekend' !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and save me a 666 mile trip to New Mexico.... Hmmmm.... 666 miles according to Google Maps..... should have seen this coming!!!!!
Thanks to all of you for helping out! Good to know folks have yer back when you are on the road!

Did I tell you FB is one tough lady?

You don't have to tell me, as I know. She is the only person I know that was able to get a picture of my daughter, and my daughter was afraid to do anything about it.

PS. I am still waiting for FB to send me that picture.

Strange, but not impossible. I've had an O2 sensor back out on a car before, just a couple years ago. It can definitely get loud very quick! lol

.

Now that isn't your everyday sort of problem! Hope she gets it handled and saves you a trip. I'm not sure what codes you would get if the wires remained attached, but I would venture to say the Spyder would run pretty rotten. Can you imagine how lean that cylinder must have gotten? I hope there is no further damage. What a place to break down...666 miles from home. (Queue Twilight Zone theme.)

As I said on the other thread, sure hope everything gets fixed so y'all can get back on the road. Mark, just make it 665 or 667 miles.

Ann and Char...;)
or was that, "Thelma & Louise"?
As long as the parts are still there; you guys should things nailed back in place in NO time!
