• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

How Is A "Special" model different?

I'm browsing the new and newer models of Spyders available. I can't figure out what a "Special" models have that the others don't.

Wishful thinking on my part - a newer Spyder isn't in the plans until I finish paying off the car. šŸ˜‹

The Special or F3S has upgraded shocks ( Fox ), cruise control, sport mode and a passenger seat. Also has a larger sprocket which gives you a lower gear ratio for better exceleration but the basic F3 may have this also. Sport mode releases some of the restrictions of the traction control and I believe better throttle response. Think sports car. These things are FAST!

No Sport mode on my 'special'. ECO and normal, that's it.

The 2026 F3L Special Series has the following upgrades: LED driving lights, upgraded seat, drivers backrest, different rims, luggage rack, backup camera, short reach handlebars and the Mars Red paint. I pick mine up on Tuesday the 28th.

F3S (only) has sport mode; F3L SS (Limited Special Series) does not - it has the other things others have mentioned like unique paint, back rest, comfort seat, short reach bars, etc.

yes, agreed - the F3 Limited SS (Special Series) has all the comfort extras for touring & special paint, but does NOT have Sport mode. The F3-S (in this case, S may stand for SPORT, not Special) DOES have Sport mode. It's meant to be the naked, sporty sibling in the F3 lineup. That's all I was trying to clarify.
