I added 2025 Bar Risers to my 2026 S2S

I added the following 1-1/4" bar risers to my '26 S2S, found on Amazon.com for $47.49 with the coupon. They were nicely made, both machined and their coating. It said up to 2025 model, but fitted my 2026 as expected.

Made more difference than I thought it would. I rotated the bars more centrally to the locating pin when clamping the bars in. This made the turn signal switch a little easier to get to by feel with my gloves on.

The only thing is you will need a 6mm hex driver to get the old bolts out and an 8mm hex driver to get the supplied bolts in. I used a bit of blue thread lock on the new bolts and did them up in a star pattern bit by bit. I reused the original washers. I was careful and jammed a cloth down around the steering head so as not to lose a washer down the gap as the washers are very light and may come out with the old bolt and drop off into the void. One of mine did and the cloth caught it.

I can recommend them, especially for the price. I was dubious, but took a punt, and it turns out they were very well made.

I did the same thing to my 2025 when I got it, found it a lot more comfortable driving! Sometimes Amazon's a great place to shop!

I think there are also 2" and even 3" risers out there, but I bought the 1-1/4" to start off conservatively. It turns out that 1-1/4" is enough for me but there are taller blocks available.

Here is the 2" risers I found but I have no idea what quality they are. They seem to be two separate pillars but the 1-1/4" ones are a single solid block. The advantage of the one piece blocks is they have the central pin to locate the bars, with two pillars you have to align the bars in the direction of rotation yourself. Not sure of the difference in quality either:

There are other 2" single piece blocks, but here the block is not machined out but relies on a small semicircle surrounding the pin to hold the bars into position, they rely on just the top clamp to actually locate the bars. But their again they do have a central locking pin which the two piece parts don't have:

I personally don't like that the bottom of the bar is just located against the block by that semi circle of raised material surrounding the pin. The 1-1/4" ones have a proper machined trough to locate the bars as well as positioning by the pin. Seems much more of a positive and safer full location to me.

The thing about the risers is that they raise the bars by the indicated amount but only bring the bars closer to you a fraction of that due to the angle of the headstock. If you have 3" risers, the bars locate 3 inches along the angle of the steering column, so that means probably less than an inch toward you.

Depending upon how tall she is and how long her reach is, finding a way to make the bars higher and a little closer can help, but to find something to bring them a lot closer if she has a short reach is another matter altogether.
