• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

....it is nice and smart set up but costs as much as decent second hand Spyder, price is just extremely unrealistic , 5k tops and still only little percentage of ryders would think about it which is understandable, pieces like these aren't expected to fly from a workshop in big numbers I guess.
Just look at turbo, costs 5k , how many were sold?

my kid works at a wheel/ stereo shop and this looks like 2 to 3 grand worth for the low price of 11 k:banghead: HOWEVER, i like the whole fat tire thing, but i want to see nice fat fenders with it, for that custom finished look.

I agree with coz, Having been that kid working at the stereo shop and having done stupid custom stuff that rocks . I dont see 12 grand.
 
I live on a dirt road and the 'rocks in the teeth' part kinda puts me off....well, that and the $11K+ price tag. Looks cool enough but ruins the driveability.

And the gas mileage.....OIY! :banghead:

I think the opposite except MPG part, unless you reffering to bad roads/drivability .
This set up is very smart, need to give them credit for that. Spyder is longer , tires are wider a bit:roflblack:. This thing must be stable as hell, can see it carving corners with ease. MPG is definitely lower which is obvious and when it comes to Drive, well, that is like opening can of worms, will I? , won't I?:dontknow:

CHAIN - oldest/longest drive in use
- highly reliable
- maintenance - needs to be lubricated which can be messy or result can be mess
- best option for high performance set ups
- shifting is somewhat smooth, vibrates a bit,
- repairable on the road
- dirt/stones are only problem when get in between chain and sprocket
- light weight
SHAFT- second oldest drive
- possibly highest reliability from all drives
- more so unrepaireble on road, when broken it's usually down to worn material
- designed to move heavy loads, able to transfer tons of torque
- shifting is very direct, not flexible as others, downshifting in high speeds can be dancy
- not suitable for high performance set ups (super sports)
- heavy weight
- maintenance - just keep oil in it
- should last or outlast bike's life
- dirt, stones, mud, water you name it cause no problems to this set up
- very clean set up
BELT- youngest drive
- fairly reliable but still breaks or gets damaged easier than chain or shaft
- not repairable on the road
- no maintenance , just inspections
- smooth shifting up and down
- vibrates a lot
- lifetime varies from conditions rode in but generally shortest from all drives.
- light weight, lightest actually
- dirt, stones, dust affecting it a lot and causing cracks ,lost teeth, breaks.
- fairly clean set up, depends of conditions

Over all, belt seems to be best set up for Spyder as it is but for performance bikes and performance set ups on Spyders like this , chain is the way to go. I think.
 
Can't believe such a setup would handle well at all--- especially in the twisties. Can't imagine running the dragon on it for example. Nice for show--- but I'd rather RIDE!
