• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I've gone from ATGATT to H (just Helmet).

I would probably just cut two more doors in the back of the garage and eliminate at least 3 or 4 dance steps.
Well, that might cause a problem.
On the other side of the back wall of the garage is the laundry room and the master bath.
I've heard of Harley riders that bring their bikes inside their homes, but I'm not quite there yet.

That is why you should consult a professional.

I have told this story before and I'll tell it again as long as it gets through to somebody. 2 years ago I was was getting ready to leave to go to OC Bikefest and was debating about what to wear as I was going down the Coastal Highway to OC Bikefest and wanted to feel that warm breeze one last time before things started to cool off for the season and I would have to bundle up. Because it was almost 3 hours there and back I looked at the odds and decided to gear up, and I am glad that I did.

I never made it to the OC Bikefest, and instead, ended up laid out in the middle of the intersection after a car hit me from behind while stopped at a red light and ejected me over the handlebars. Thank god for my mesh armour. The only place where my skin was damaged was where the drivers backrest mount on my Corbin had compressed hard enough against my tailbone that it left a hole through the seat and my pants hitting directly against my skin and left my whole ass bruised for weeks. My helmet had to be replaced from the damage it received and it has been the second helmet I have cracked in two years from being thrown off the bike due to cager. So I just cringe when I see these Pa. riders going around with no helmet when I go up there riding.

All the gear all the time... jeans usually though. Leather chaps look silly on me. But I do have a ryde to the Bay area for my 60th HS reunion coming soon, so I'll wear them then; I do dread the crowded conditions of the SF Bay area. Lane splitting riders make me nervous, even though I used to do it in the congested traffic there, till I had some dimwit open his door in front of me! 😖 🤬

There are too many idiots on the road these days not to be a ATGATT person.
Three wheels are more stable. But if you do get in a crash in will not be good.
I know "Oh, I am just going to the store" - that's when something bad happens.

It's a personal choice that only you have to live with, but everyone who ever fell off their bike on the tar growing up knows what tar can do to your skin!! So, if you pick shorts and a tank top, it's your choice!!! 🫣

Road rash sucks.
Gavel rash is just as bad, unless a cute blond paramedic is pickling it out of your butt.
Don't ask me how I know.

But it's MY choice not to contribute to your family's GoFundMe for hospital/burial expenses. The older I get, the less empathy I have for riders who make bad decisions. My wife has already had that knock at the door from Mr. Officer, telling her that I'm in the hospital. I know what she went through!

The ones who really piss me off are the guys on sport bikes all geared up for the track.
With the girlfriend on the back in shorts. tank top, flip-flops and a beanie or open face helmet.
The other is a certain religious group. They do not have to wear a helmet.
Even with a helmet, I have lost friends due to head injuries.
Rant over, hope I didn't offend anyone.

I have often heard others make fun of the gear I wear, ask why I wear all of that stuff. First off I just don't bounce nearly as well @ 75 as I did @ 21. If I could predict when I was going to have my get off or crash then I would only wear my gear on that particular day. I wear a full face helmet, an Aero Stitch Roadcrafter 2 piece, gloves and boots. Aside from the twins always feeling slightly par boiled most of the time I'm comfortable. I worked ER's and hospitals for almost 40 years, I've seen the aftermath of not having proper protection when riding bikes. I hope to be able to walk away from any crash I am in and will put up with the inconvenience of ATGATT to try and achieve that outcome. You do what floats your boat.
