• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

LED fender light strips

Installing LED light stripes on fenders of 2012 RT S .My question is anyone use 3M adhesive promoter ? Or will a good cleaning with alcohol be enough for good adhesion ? I have seen directions both ways.

On a smooth painted surface like the fenders; the alcohol cleaning method seems to work just fine.
It's when you mount them on a surface that isn't all that smooth, that the "promoter" starts to strut it's stuff!

Alcohol cleaning has worked good for all my decals. Fyi I find it best to let evaporate dry then apply whatever. If you can apply pressure to what you are sticking down for extended time also helps. Share pics if you can plz:thumbup:

:agree: using the Alcohol wipes before applying any decals. ( that is what I used to apply the decals that I got from WRAPMYSPDYDER.COM)

Alcohol may be okay by itself but then my question would be; then why do Tric-LED and Custom Dynamics include 3M promoter with all of their lights?
Use the promoter, better safe than sorry.

As I recall; Reggy's instructions mention using it on the dark plastic pieces on the bikes. For the painted stuff; he supplies some alcohol swabs.
