• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Made it home safely from SITA, wet, tied, wet, hungry, wet , happy but wet.

Did I mention wet.

Stayed for the lunch and awards at SITA, said my fair wells to some new found friends and headed out. About 10-15 miles outside of Lake Placid the heavens opened up, it was monsoon rain. No matter how fast you went it was coming straight down.

I cut across Hurricane Mountain into Elizabethtown, no joke, this was fitting name for such a ride, I could not see more than 10 feet in front of me. Luckily there where some cars in front of me so I just followed the tail lights. I've ridden in some down pours before but this was the mother of them all. It rained constantly for 320 miles to my drive way. Most of the back roads where flooded there was no way that amount of rain could drain away quickly enough.

Spyder ran like a champ no complaints, although when I got home I was soaked, not sure how, as I had full rain gear on but at some point it got in some where. Although I was soaked through my sprites weren't dampened, I great time at SITA. Met some very nice new friends to ride with, lost and found one of them 'Jim' on more than one occasion. Got to met some Spyder lovers who I know only from their handle on here. Got to see Dave and Teddy. All in all a really great time would do it again next year.

Here are some random shots, no order just quick snaps.

Great to hear the spyder ran great in terrible rainy conditions. Thanks for posting the pics, so who was the lucky winner of the Air ride trailer?

That is being given away at the end of the year. Every time you post on spyder talk your Handel gets put into the drawing.

That sounds like one tough ride.Glad you made it home safely,no problems with the Spyder in all that rain and you are happy.:thumbup::yes:

Glad you made it home safely an the Spyder ran good! I pm'd you before reading this, so I did not know you encountered so much rain. Main thing is you made it! Was great meeting you and everyone else at SITA.

We left the same time for our 8 hour drive home , put on our rain gear and dodged the rain most of the way home. Another bonus day. There was a lot of rain at SITA this year but we lucked out and never got caught in any of the downpours .:yes: When we where at Tail-O-Pup on Thur. it rained so hard for 20 mins. you couldn't see squat. We where in Roberts Sports trailer trapped inside. When the rain stopped there where two RS parked outside and the water was over the bottom of the rims ( 5-6 inches )

you guys should have stayed just one more night. we drove home to nj today in a beautiful sun shiny day. russ and linda are on their way back to lehighton,pa with the same skies!!

We also drove home to Quebec in beautiful weather! Started to rain when we pulled in the driveway. Lake placid has some great riding, even in the rain. I guess the riding companions helped!

I do plan to return before the ryding ends this year. I met lots of great folks just not sure i connected any names here to faces out there :). I recall harrypotter ....

Teddy and I know all about that which you speak, thats when we decided to stop fighting and pull over at a closed hotel and hop in his nice n dry "dog-house on wheels" AKA= Moto-Mate Camper ...... so glad we had that camper with us:bowdown::bowdown: as you are correct, it was crazy bad coming down. Tho after about 2 hours, it broke for us, and on our merry way we went, just to encounter more of the same later down the road..... Who in the :cus: said the entire country is in a drought obviously hasn't been any where around upstate NY :lecturef_smilie::roflblack:

It was great to finally meet you and thanks for posting and sharing the pics with all of us. Being "the guy" behind the star :doorag:(Teddy) I rarely get any shots myself, as I'm always busy, as you could tell I'm sure:roflblack: Looking forward to doing it all again next year
