• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Motorcycle first aid kit?

Do you happen to carry a motorcycle first aid kit or something similar?

If so, what kind and how does it fit in/on your particular model of Spyder? Pics welcomed. :spyder:

Choices choices..!!

Don't know of a specific motorcycle kit but pretty much any basic first aid kit that is compact works great. Mine is in a zip loc bag with the basics. Auto parts have pretty good kits....

I do not carry a prepackaged individual first aid kit (IFAC) but I do carry one that I put together on my own. It basically contains the same type of supplies that we carried on our gear when I was active duty and deployed (assorted band aids, roll of gauze, bandana, belt, hand towel, safety pins, EMS shears, LED flashlight, 550 parachute chord). It all packs nicely in an old canvas shaving kit bag.

I have carried a First Aid kit for a long time. 3×3 pads and bandage rolls are a must. You may need to stop the bleeding and bandaid strips will not do it. You have improve most over the counter kits. Good luck.

Great thing is that we have plenty of room to carry with the Spyder

We now have access to clotting bandages also. Not real big or real expensive.

We don't use a prepackaged kit either. It is one I made up from my experience as a volunteer fire fighter which is intended more for major bleeding etc . Also include lots of surgical style gloves to protect against blood carried diseases. Also have a foil blanket to wrap victims for warmth and possible shock.
Carry it in a small stuff sack and it fits nicely into many spots but always somewhere easily accessible.

Awesome Ya'll

All great ideas I can build off of...thanks! :2thumbs:

Sounds like some of ya'll could (or already have) put together bug-out bags as well!

We happened to be at Target one evening and they had a deal where you buy $x.xx in first-aid stuff and get a carry case for free. So we grabbed what we wanted and made our own custom kit.

Knock on wood, we've not really needed it for anything yet major.

You never know when it will be needed. One year in Daytona, a Harley Rider with sun glasses, shorts and logging boots only. Went down as he was attempting to chat with his buddy. Lots of wrap for the messed up tatts.
